Gravity vs Single Tier Brew Sculptures?????

I am using 2 10 gallon rubbermaid water coolers, one for hot liquor tank and one for mash tun. So buring a pot up is no an issue. The rough draft for my rig isnt gonna be tall enough to have to use a ladder. More along the lines of a 2 man lift to about chest high. Besides simplicity are there...

In the mean time i will be starting work on my brew sculpture. I have looked for hours and hours on the DIY forum. I have a few ideas for...

Ok, so i know that there are tons of threads and pics of DIY mash tuns but i had to share with my fellow beer geeks. beer funeral

Totally aware that the alcohol in the thermometer would not kill me or the folks drinking my brew. The glass was what i was more concerned with. The main reason for this post was for the extra yeast added to my secondary on my other brew.

    beer funeral

So i was in the process of brewing my 4th brew and Murphy decided to step in. I was brewing the Irish Stout from true brew and all was well. I was transferring the wort to the primary and noticed a strong gasoline smell. At first thought noting of it until i noticed a bright red bead looking...
