Leak in spigot on new brew bucket

Just took an FG reading and the spigot started leaking...if you hand tighten when it's dry it won't leak as I just experimented with it...so sanitize it and let it dry first before assembly otherwise the slippery surface will push out the oring causing it to leak...luckily it was a quick wheat...

New Product! Cool Brewing Fermentation Cooler

Use a 30" 1/2 x 1/2" square wood rod with two rebar end caps to make a support structure for the bag....it will sag and this makes it very stable...temps seem lower than I thought by testing it with carboy with water in it.

Leak in spigot on new brew bucket

Noticed the same issue with m y brew bucket and it took a little bit of tweaking to get it not leaking...emailed ss technologies and they are sending me a new valve, racking arm, and seals for free. Overall i really like the product but it will take a few batches to work out the bugs.

How low to set freezer for active fermentation

I use 2 cinch straps around a new sponge to cover the temp probe...it's rock solid and does not move...sometimes condensation makes any tape come off.

    I hate my carboy!!

I use Spiedel fermenters....very well made with large opening. I use the 7.3 gallon for primary and 5.3 gallon for the secondary. I just got a SS brew bucket that I'm using tomorrow.

    Extract Full Boil

I just did my first brew ever and did 5.5 gallons because I did t know how much volume would be added from the kit. I lost 1 gallon and only added 1/2 gallon to primary. I was worried of a boil over but the Blichman burner kept it exactly at 212 degrees.
