You cannot go wrong with Citra and Nelson. Also Citra, Nelson and Nectaron is also amazing. I won gold with that one in our National Homebrew competition a few weeks ago.

The source of that AEB strain is Boddingtons so its LA3/Verdant.

Wow, 1oz. That's a bit of a difference from the dosage I read. TMM ALDC 15ml – Alpha Acetolactate Decarboxylase - The Malt Miller

I got some today so will use it for the first time this weekend. Doing a BIPA with WLP002, which is very prone to diacetyl so should get a good test. Guidelines say to use 0.2g-1g per 5G of wort. Thats a bit of a broad range of dosage so not sure how much to use, probably just shoot in the...

Glad it's not just me. Used the mosaic lupomax in my last brew and there's not a lot of fruit off it.

Congrats on the brew day. That is hands down my favorite combination. My keg that won gold has just kicked so need to brew it again real soon. Need to tweak the hop ratio for my next brew. Out of curiosity, what was your ratio on this brew?

Do you find ALDC worth using? Diacetyl is one of the main things that stops me partly dry hopping in the fermenter as I'm worried about an extended hop contact time while waiting on the diacetyl rest to finish.

Thanks man. I owe a lot of it to you for all the advice over the last few years.

This is my last beer a Citra/Nelson/Nectaron DIPA. Last weekend it won gold in the Irish National Homebrew competition in the American IPA category. Was really happy with the win and backs up I'm heading in the right direction with my process. Recipe is Pale malt 38% Golden Promise 10% Naked...

We watched the same video so. I like his channel and seems a cool guy but there was so much wrong in his process in that video. Dry hopping so early in fermentation then a second dry hop left on the hops for a week at 72 degrees. That just goes against everything I've learned from this post over...

That's terrible. I had it for the first time over Christmas and lost taste and smell completely for about 5-6 weeks. Was my worst nightmare. Both slowly came back and reckon I'm at about 85-90% of what it was. Still battling with brain fog though. Not good.

Could be a batch issue especially if it didn't come from Brooklyn. The other brewery's aren't at their level yet although DC is improving.

Any of the Other Half all Citra beers I've had have been great. Saying that I absolutely love Citra.

Very interested to see how this works out as I've a CTZ and Mosaic DIPA planned in the next few weeks. Just received my Yakima order with CTZ Lupomax and 2022 Mosaic.

I did a Citra Nelson DIPA before with 4oz Nelson, 4oz Citra T90 and 2oz lupomax and it was a really nice beer. Scored 40/50 in a local competition. Felt the Nelson was just slightly lost at this ratio which is why I was thinking 2:1:1 Citra as I find Nelson and Nectaron in the same vein flavor...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I have a DIPA in the fermenter that I brewed a week ago that I will be dry hopping with Citra T90 and Lupomax, Nectaron and Nelson. Still really undecided on amounts and ratios. I'm thinking 6oz Citra and 3oz of both the Nelson and Nectaron. How does this sound? Really want the Nelson and...

Bought 2 cans just after Christmas but haven't tried them yet. Payed a pretty penny for them so they better be good. Probably works out around $20 each.
