Easy question- pitch harvested yeast without making a starter first?

I've pitched 2 month old slurries with no issues and I never make a starter. BUT, I never pitch a collected slurry that's beyond 2 months old either.

    Don't Do That.

Made a Timothy Talyor clone a while back. Recipe called for .9 oz of black malt. I put in 9 oz of black malt. Got pissed off till I tasted it, it was good, but don't do that.

    Weber Kettle Thread!

I've never pressure washed mine. I use a putty knife to scrape build up off. I do cook indirect all the time which causes a ton of grease build up on that side of the grill. I just toss some charcoal on that side with white gas and light it. burns all the build up away but becomes very hot so...

    Weber Kettle Thread!

Figured I'd post a pic of my Weber. I love it. Just replaced the front leg with a wooden dowel. This unit is 36 years old, I bought it for my dad as a Father's Day gift in 1981. It's a tried and true grille and as I've told friends and family, "it's seen more meat than Jenna Jameson"! I've...
