    saving money with brewing

Can't argue with that. On a lighter note I just bought 50 lbs of 2-Row for $30 from ace hardware in yakima wa. The lowest price I've found so far outside of a group buy. Only a few dollars more than a group buy from what I understand

    Different Pressure in Keg?

Is the internal diameter of both beer lines the same size?

    185,000 BTUs

Update. Still awesomeness. I love this burner not only for the price but for the time it saves. I don't mind one bit spending a little bit more on propane. And that's usually only when I crank it up wide open. I can say I've found my burner. Won't buy anything else

    saving money with brewing

Yeah but he doesn't need all on that to start brewing all grain. I don't think anyone actually needs all of that. My ice water baths work fine and save money on water. I don't have or need a bottle tree. I aerate my wort by dumping it into the fermenter so no stone or pump needed. I built my...

    saving money with brewing

I don't know where you live but if that's what it costs to do all grain there ill be sure to steer clear. I built my 3 tier from scrap lumber for the price of the screws. My 3 kegs were $50 each. My fridge was $50. I bought everything over a period of two years. Now I have 30 gallons of...

    The Home Made Pizza Thread

I'm glad this thread got started. Every pizza I've made at home didn't turn out very well. Since I make "professional" beer at home I'd love to learn how to make real pizza.

    18%abv

I made a cherry wine a few years ago that came out to 18% using 25 pounds of cherries sugar and water. It can be done.

    Smoker Suggestions

You could always insulate the outside using water heater insulation

New to kegging, anything I should know

Or fast carb and drink it the next day. Don't believe everything you hear about "set it and forget it". Fast carbing achieves the same result in a fraction of the time. I don't know about you but I brew beer to drink it. Not take up space in my garage

Motorize grain mill will a drill?

I like this idea. I never thought of enclosing it and drilling a hole in the top for a funnel. I may modify mine this weekend

    Electric Light Burners?

It's decided. Yet another weekend project for me. Ill do some looking around. I'd like to mount the push button at arm level and ill need two on my 3 tier.

    Electric Light Burners?

Damn now I miss my potato gun. I used those flints as well. Ever dump cat littler down the barrel and make a shotgun?

    Electric Light Burners?

That's exactly what I'm looking for!

What to ask for Father's Day?

Can never go wrong with gift certificates. I like making wine but hate paying $70-$100 for the kits. That or bulk grains. I'm currently looking to buy bulk grains and start washing yeast as well as buying cheap hops from Yakima.

    Electric Light Burners?

Anybody ever rig up an electric push button sparked to fire their burners? I'm considering doing it to mine because I keep losing my damn lighters. I assume I could use a replacement BBQ sparker?

    Smoker Suggestions

I built an Ugly Drum Smoker and I love it. It will hold a perfect 250 for 11 hours on one small basket of charcoal. In February I bought a cheap brinkman vertical smoker that uses 4x the amount of charcoal. Ill mainly be using the brinkman for fish and pepperoni and what not. But turkeys and...

Motorize grain mill will a drill?

I made a pasta roller mill and tested it out last weekend. Works like a charm with my drill. I still need to build the hopper bigger but it cracks this grains faster than any corona. I went to the Yakima Valley Hop Homebrew store a few weeks ago and we had a hell of a time cracking 14 pounds...
