Coupla qick questions on primary fermentation from a complete noob...

Your batch should be fine I would get a new bucket. Cheap insurance. You'll have enough yeast in suspension so no worries on your third question. I don't secondary. I just leave my beer on the yeast for 3-4 weeks and then bottle. The 3 batches I've done so far have turn out really good.

    First-time lager yeast, possible mishaps

Looks like my lager I'm doing right now that has been sitting at 50 degrees. I think you are good to go. One thing I highly recommend for lagers is to get a Johnson Temp controller. I'm using one on my older fridge and have it set to 50. It's been great to be able to just set it and not...

    Lucky me!

If you like Newcastle you need to try the AHS Southern Brown Ale kit. I did this and it's awesome.

Suggestions for my next brew, again...

I strongly recommend try the West Coast Pale Ale from Austin Home Brew. I cut the bittering hops in half and that gave me 28 IBU's. Just enough bitter for my tastes. It also has great flavor. It's been my favorite so far.

I put an Irish Summer Ale and Honey Blond Ale in primaries this last weekend. I'll be doing a lager this Saturday.

    Pics from my Pale Ale

I was bottling my pale ale and thought I'd share my pics with other new brewers like me. This ale sat in the primary for 4 weeks with no secondary. I used Irish Moss in the last 15 minutes of the boil. I couldn't be happier with how it's looking. Now I just have to wait for it to carb up.

Help turning Pilsner kit into an ale.

I've heard of people using White Labs WLP060 with good success in cases where they can't lager.

    Dump the beer?

It was the American Wheat from AHS. I think my mistake was that I used 2 cans of the puree in primary when I should have went with one in secondary.

    Dump the beer?

It is the Oregon Puree which is already steril so it went straight into the primary.

    Dump the beer?

I used Raspberry puree but way too much of it. It's got a very tart finish. I've heard this will mellow and that's why I haven't dumped it yet.

    Dump the beer?

Never thought of that. Will give it a try tonight and report back.

Best time to transfer to secondary

Leave it in the primary. I've got pics of a Pale Ale that I left for 4 weeks and it is a beautifully clear beer that smells fantastic. If I get around to it I'll post the pics tonight.

    Dump the beer?

I've got a Raspberry Wheat I've been tempted to dump so that I can use the bottles on another batch. I went with too much Raspberry in it and I'm just not a fan of the beer. I'd rather drink the blond or brown ale I made which is much much better.

    Busy weekend

Bottled my AHS West Coast Pale Ale Friday night, which smelled awesome by the way. Brewed an Irish Summer Ale yesterday and this morning I'm brewing a Honey Blond Ale. Just getting a nice supply of summer beers lined up for this hot Houston summer. I'm tired.

    Low Carbonation after 3 weeks

That's what I figured too but I'll just give it more time. I've got a couple others I can drink for now.
