I just double checked my line and it is 3/16" ID and 7/16" OD and about 4.5'. So yeah, I read the wrong measurements.

Nope, nothing special. I just pop the tap quick to release the pressure then continue the pour.

I just love an Amber beer, good thing Brewers Best has an easy kit. I brewed this beer on Jan 16 and left it in my conical until Feb 7th (making sure to dump the trub). After kegging, I purged the O2 and left it sit in the keezer for 3 1/2 days at approximately 31°. I force carbonated it at 30...

Just shy of 3 weeks in the fermenter, 36 hours at 30 psi, 24 hours at 8 psi. It has a thick frothy head and has more of a stout taste. It is rather tasty despite the hurried process. Next time I will let it sit in the fermenter 4 weeks and give it more time to properly carbonate.

I absolutely will keep you posted!! This is actually my first extract that had grains so I am rather excited. I do like the ease of extracts but would like to learn all grain brewing as well. It is kewl that you lived near Chad and took lessons the same place he did.

I have yet to return a sample, I learn by tasting the process. Yes, it is a 311 reference, I shall drink a pint in your honor for guessing correctly!!!

I just wanted to share this with everyone. This beer I call 'Color of Your Energy'. From there, one could figure out the style. I have never brewed this style and wanted to expand my experiences. This has been in the fermenter for 2 weeks now and I am thinking another week to finish cleaning up...

I was kegging an American Light and forgot to remove the bung and blowoff tube. I am guessing about a quart of sanitized water was sucked in. My question is this, is 5 gallons ruined or ok to drink? I only notice an off flavor and the head tends to separate kinda like a heavy cream mixed with water.

@NGD As a matter of fact, I have begun purchasing various hops for that very reason. Ideally I would want to keep a nice smooth brew for daily drinking and have one or 2 varieties for a change of pace. I like how easy this kit is to make but have been noticing how they vary from brew to brew...
