    Houston, TX Group Buy

I don't know man...I was wanting to bump it but since no one was responding to my previous post I figured I would wait and see. I'm down for either method, I'm going to need grain soon with all the hops I plan to order shortly. I'm trying to come up with ways to get more people like if anyone is...

    Houston, TX Group Buy

Would like two other people be interested in buying like 3 different crystals or other specialty grain? If the ten people we have right now all split 3 bags between groups of three we could have 9 more sacks for the price of one per person. Obviously yall understand this already, though my...

    Houston, TX Group Buy

Yeah if we can get some list or website to view our options we could probably have 40 bags fairly quickly. Not trying to be a dick just curious what is possible to buy so everyone can decide definitely.

    Picked up some Delta hops.

I bought a pound as well, and am slightly disappointed. I'm not 100% sure that I don't like them cause I've used them in two beers both with a estery yeast so the hops are kind of covered up. Though my more recent one with a large dosing of late additions and some dry hopping doesn't have much...

    First IIPA attempt...super high FG?!

Just updating you that mine appears to have dropped into acceptable range in the teens, one carboy having a bit more yeast cake so it's a bit lower. I have transferred it to secondary with my dry hops. Let me know how yours ended up.

Hey man, I live in Galveston and decided to starts some rhizomes this year as well. I haven't noticed any rot actually, I got four varieties going since late spring. What my problem has been is june bugs, I went on vacation and came back to find me bines tall but half the leaves were missing...

    First IIPA attempt...super high FG?!

Ok my original hopes of krausen were a bit ambitious, but I am having some results. Originally I left the carboy in a water bath but with little change after a day I removed it and left in room temperature which helped warm the yeast a little. I also rocked them fairly aggressively to spin the...

    Houston, TX Group Buy

Was thinking about starting one of these, then open up group buys and there it is at the top. I'd definitely buy 3 bags or so if we can get enough people. Not sure about the hops was contemplating a group buy from hopsdirect in the fall though since I will probably be buying several pounds...

    First IIPA attempt...super high FG?!

I am using WLP023 burton ale. I pitched on a yeast cake so I was expecting a huge blowoff. While I did get a blow off it did not last longer than a day or so, which concerns me because the previous batch blew off for much longer. I'm not sure if I under-aerated it or if my attempt to lower the...

    First IIPA attempt...super high FG?!

I brewed an iipa a few days later than you and it has been stuck around 40 for a few days. I made a starter earlier today,of the same yeast I had washed from earlier batch, and just added it to my primary fermenters and shook 'em. I'm hoping it will do the trick but am not sure if the lack of...

    Best Bitter Yeoman Special Bitter

Hey I brewed this one up about two weeks ago with Hex's ten gallon recipe and am anxiously awaiting the finished product. Though I did make a few changes because I had some American hops and used WLP023 'burton' yeast. HOPS I too don't have a mill but what I did was buy a 50 lb bag of grain...
