    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

@adrianoftyriel That's the correct baud rate, so you should be seeing the real info. I'd suggest a reflash, but erase everything first, Brewflasher makes this step very easy!

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

The resistor to select the internal/external aerial is the one to the left of "rainsun", the ceramic aerial. In the picture vertical for internal, moved to horizontal for the external. QC department missed this one, the soldering is suspect in my opinion.

I'd also resolder the pin in D4, looks a bit iffy to me in your picture.

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Yes, and also look at the possible issue between the A0 and D0 pins... I don't have a D1MiniPro to hand to check the tracks, but that misplaced resistor could be the cause of your problem. Just don't short to one of the resistors next to it. See if you can unsolder from the right side (in...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Hmmm, firstly check the battery conversion factor, from memory 191.??? do a quick google. If it's not that, then yes, it's likely the D1Mini is the issue. If that's the case you're better of replacing the D1Mini. You could try and diagnose the D1Mini, there's a voltage divider on it in...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

@Jayjay1976 I wouldn't crush the LED, you could end up damaging the tracks on the circuit board, that may not actually affect the function, but I wouldn't personally. Removing the LED on the gyro is a good thing. You could also remove the diode (D1) on the D1 Mini, that will protect your...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Going back some months there was some talk of adding the temperature correction to the iSpindel, but it didn't get enough traction so was dropped. However, there is an issue #583 on Fermentrack github that you could add your voice to?

Only comments I can make so far is that I think I'd prefer the iSpindel ID on the top line and a posssible change in font to a less bold appearance. Seems to do what it says on the tin otherwise.

A good rugby weekend or all 6 Nations, I don't think that's ever happened before! I thought I'd configured everything, but didn't seem to work! Celebrate the win before getting back to this! Sorry @DuncB :(

My camel from China has finally arrived! 1.77" display, connected to D1mini, connected to WiFi, changed configuration on spare iSpindel and all working! First time! My task this afternoon is to configure iSpinHub to forward to Fermentrack. After watching an exciting weekend of International...

    Remote capabilities hydrometer

I use a couple of iSpindels and Fermentrack, but the iSpindel can log to many things. On a single charge I usually get three brews, loging every 15 minutes. I could get more but I don't want it to die halfway through a brew. The iSpindel project is open and you can buy all the parts and...

Some stuff I ordered later arrived weeks ago, still electronics but different supplier, never used this supplier before. Ditto with D1 mini's, I always buy from Lolin on Aliexpress but I also use a eBay supplier sometimes which has proven to use quality stuff, and delivers faster. Brissle...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

Errrrmmm.... Cough... I wonder.... Didn't I tidy up that old router recently? Ah! Some time ago (about a year) I repurposed an old router to provide better coverage in my brewing area. For simplicity I put this onto my existing network and put some port forward rules. My eventual aim was...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

My Brewubbles has stopped reporting to ThingSpeak! I can't see what has changed to ause this, I don't think it's BrewBubbles, but posting here in case somebody else has any info while I investigate.... The error is reported on BrewBubbles as; "V: Triggered Thingspeak push. E: Problem updating...
