    Coolship build

you will need to re-title the thread if you go the keg route - 2 coolships would then be a coolfleet.... Yes, here all week, try the veal and tip your waitress.

Immersion Chiller - dual input idea

Pie man - thanks the reason I thought to split the input was I understood that part of the equation was the temperature delta between the wort and the chiller. If I split the 50` into two 25` lengths I get more of a delta. What I failed to mention is this is a 10 gallon batch

Immersion Chiller - dual input idea

All, I'm sure this is not a new idea and given the number of engineeers in the group I thought I'd get feedback before returning from HomeDepot to witness the wife's "what now?" look. I think she has grown immune to my arguments that each new peice of equiptment equals cost savings...

    Wanted - Woodchuck 802 clone

Hopefully you guys/gals can help me - I have brewed a wedding beer for a friend (he did the work, I was able to supervise - fun!) and now his intended wants to do the same with a cider. She is partial to the Woodchuck 802, but I have never made a cider so I was hoping for a clone recipe...

    Wiring Thermostat Control

Not to ressurrect an old thread - But here is what I did that made it work properly - Common from power (white) to the duplex outlet (tab left in place) and other screw of outlet to the common slot. Nothing else attached to the common slot. The hot side (black) to a pigtail with 3 leads going...

my attempt at making my keggles look nice

Nice Job! Looks like you are on your way - Just FYI - I found that by putting two 2x4's on my workbench, covering them with an old towel, and laying the keg sideways between them made it much easier on my back a easier to spin the keg when I needed to. The compound to shine it was messy...

    New Brewhemoth conicals!

So I won a Brewhemoth tri-clover version for a best of show competition in St Louis (Thank you for sponsoring, guys!). This was great since I have been drooling over these for a while. Now I need to buy the appropriate fittings. Looking at this hardware at the different sites I come to...

    Bed Frame Brew Rig

No problems for me. Your results might be different. I think the taller shelved area adds some stiffness. I have been using it for years with no real issue. The lower height might have something to do with it, too

    Bed Frame Brew Rig

Nice Job! I did the bedrails and broomsticks method a few years ago and have been very happy. I bolted mine versus weld to I could reconfigure when needed (only once so far).

All, Any recommendations for London (around Kings Cross Station) or Wales (Around Chepstow)? There on business but will have an evening or two free with the wife (non-drinker) so food is a plus. Thanks, Joe

    Lid for keggle

I used the lid from an enamel seafood pot. It was the diameter of the entire keg, not the cut out but it works really well. It actually fits better upside down and the condensation of the steam drips to the center. I use it on my HLT when heating water and also put it on my Boil Kettle after...

DIY Mash Tun Design, Parts list, and updated cost

I had to switch mine from PVC to CPVC because some of the piping deformed when adding hotter water (probably 190-ish) when trying to raise the mash temp. Real PIA. I also ASSUMED that if it was hot enough to deform then it would be hot enough to leech. CPVC is more expensive than PVC, but not...

    st.louis brewers??

+1 JBZSTL I enjoyed the Bud tour, mainly related to the prohibition activities that you do not see at other Bud tours in every other city. Tap Room would be my favorite depending on where your hotel is and your time available. Urban Chestnut has great very unique beers, their website is...
