So just to clarify... You collected 8.75 G of wort and boiled You boiled off two gallons in 60 minutes You placed 5.5 G in the fermenter, so what happens to he extra G of wort? Is this for reaching our target OG? Can you just collect 7.5 G leaving you with the perfect post boil volume? Sorry...

Why is the post boil so much bigger (1.5gal)'than the batch size? The GF palate wrecker is phenomenal, is that their double ipa? I've had it on draft at British beer co it's really good. I may brew this next since I have Belgian yeast in my fridge.

Good job researching. I was gonna tell you the same thing. You could also google the make and model # and see if there are wiring diagrams or whatever. Call the manufacturer if you can track down there number. Good luck with your project

So the northern brewer website has a yeast calc PDF and the 2nd step up is way smaller than the first, I just don't get the logic. 1 L starter, decant and pitch into .5 L starter? I thought you ere supposed to increase the volume at least 4x..

Right? Just let it sit for a day before plugging in? What about the CO2 bottle?

By the time you add up a used keg + shipping + orings + poppits +time spent refurbing + looking at a beat up old keg buying a brand new one just makes sense to me. Just saw the codes in an earlier post

What is your source for this information? Is there some study or experiment you are quoting? I feel like if this were true you could just put an airlock on your starter instead of a foam stopper or sanitized foil
