    Filtwring water

If you live in a city you should be able to access the water report and they usually report the amount of residual Chlorine at the tap. A lot of my early brews had that "taste" no matter what style I was making. I have found that it is really important to control fermentation temperature...

    Pour out some home brew!?!?!?!?

That's a cool idea. It's always disappointing to drink the last of one of your great batches. Although if it is a great one, I may not be willing to sacrifice a whole bottle.

    Pour out some home brew!?!?!?!?

It's really no different than pouring a yeast starter in without decanting. 1.5 L starter is about 4-12 oz beers. I've made plenty of good brews doing this.

    Mini fridge

Yes. As long as you can fit your carboy/bucket with airlock or blowoff tube in there. You may need to remove the plastic can holder from the door to help it fit. Most likely you will want to buy a temperature controller as well.

Upright Keezer, 8 taps, 11 kegs

After I removed the shroud and checked where all the lines are going I turned on the freezer and am fairly confident that the hot side coils are only in the sides of the freezer so drilling through the back on this model should be fine. I'll post how it turns out. I used this one...

Upright Keezer, 8 taps, 11 kegs

I removed the shroud at the bottom and took a picture. Am I right in assuming all of the coils are contained right here and I can drill anywhere above the shroud? http://s526.beta.photobucket.com/user/jeffcosgrove1/media/WP_000295.jpg.html <a...

Help With Oktoberfest Lager Yeast Starter

Do you mean liters instead of gallons? I entered your parameters with 3 yeast packs and it gave me 1.42 liters. You can adjust the slider on the bottom to reduce the size of the starter and increase the yeast packs and vice versa.

    Worst. Morning. EVER.

I just had the same thing happen last weekend. I put some German Pilsener in my 3 gallon keg to have ready for 4th of July. I just had to test the carb level last Friday after coming home from work. I usually hung my picnic tap on the top of the keg but I was getting tired of the little drips...

    Scrimshaw Clone

As I said in the post it tastes just like it, maybe a little bit better in my opinion. I have made the recipe about 4 times now and really like it.

    Cincinnati OH, any good beer?

The 2 restaurants in downtown Loveland that usually have some Bell's on tap are Paxton's and The Works. They also usually have some Mt. Carmel and Rivertown Brewing on tap. Those are about 3 miles from where you are staying. If you want to venture out Habit's in Oakley has a decent tap...

How to remove bung from Oberon mini keg

Take a medium flat head screwdriver and stick it in there. Grab part of the bung you raised up doing this with some pliers so it doesn't fall in. Then pry it out with the screwdriver and pull with the pliers. I buy a new one each time as they always get a little bit damaged pulling them out.

Corking your Belgian bottles with a Portuguese corker

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. I'm asking my mother-in-law to get me the Portugeuse for Christmas since I have a Belgian Golden Strong that will be ready to bottle shortly thereafter.
