    Canadian Roll Call!!

I use Toronto (local) mostly for ingredients, and OBK mostly for hardware, and occasionally Canadian Homebrew Supply in Brampton for both or either as they seem to have things the other two don't. The guys in Toronto are great with their knowledge of ingredients also, but their hardware prices...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

What was your mash temp? Mine finished at 1.010 right on target but sample finished kinda sweet mashing at 154 and fly sparing with 158. Should be done carbing by Sat. I'm thinking for the next one I might mash at 149, and sparge with 154, shooting for a dryer less sweet finish.

    Homemade PBW Recipe

I'm not even sure anymore what the original recipe is? Lol, try the 70/30 Oxy/TSP mix and go from there. I don't believe there is difference when it comes to brand with regards to TSP, but the Oxy should be The Versatile Free version, no scent no bleach. The green lid.

    Yeast Washing Illustrated

I think i would stick with the 4L to be sure you get proper separation of trub from yeast. But you don't really need to use a starter once you get the separation, I did just to make sure the yeast was active, sort of put my mind at ease that I wasn't dumping dead yeast into a batch. But doing a...

    Yeast Washing Illustrated

I would think using bottled spring water or distilled water for wort top up would be fine, but for yeast washing I'm leaning toward boiled sanitized water. Everything I have read about yeast washing mentions boiling your water and vessels before washing. Just my two cents.

Not sure about the distilled, I would not trust the spring water. I'm pretty sure the boiling process is to sanitize the water as well the vessels used.

I went 7 primary, shooting for 14 secondary and 10 days in keg. I might be able to shave a few days off if I decide to filter.
