    ISO Maui Brewing Coconut Porter

Also in Hawaii, usually about $10 for a 4 pack. The Maui beers are my favorite from hawaii. They have a wheat beer made with pineapple juice that's really good too, and the Big Swell IPA is one of my favorites. I'd be willing to trade, shipping here ain't cheap though.

    Temperature Question

Thanks for all the advice. I plan on getting a slightly bigger chest freezer in the future, but for now only being able to do one brew every two weeks or so is kind of lame. I am really just looking for a way to do more brewing without sacrificing quality.

    Temperature Question

I understand some beers take longer to ferment than others, I basically wanted to know about secondary fermentation in higher temps.

    Temperature Question

Hello, I currently use a temperature controlled chest freezer but it only really holds one of my carboys. I want to get on the about one batch (5gal) per week cycle, but my limited space makes this hard. My question is can I secondary in warmer conditions (about 80 degrees) or is it best to...

What can I bring to hawaii?

I don't think it's always $7.99 flat rate to hawaii, I think I just got lucky...

    Headed West! near SD...

I'm guessing you will be stationed at Camp Pendleton? When I was visiting over there, there were so many Shops to choose from, I think the closest one to you is called Hydro-Brew in Oceanside. My buddy uses that place exclusively, I've been there once and the guy that helped me was a cool guy...

What can I bring to hawaii?

Northern Brewer is having a buy 2 get one free on all grain recipe kits, I just got 2 cream ale kits, an a chocolate milk stout kit and a pound of priming sugar shipped for $60. Shipping was $8! Not sure why so cheap, but I put the order in ASAP, maybe try to check now, maybe rates changed?

What can I bring to hawaii?

I usually play with shipping quantities, for example, I have had it come out to about 25lbs and it costs around $20. Maybe try to split it into 2 packages of 15lbs each, get it around $40.

    What are you drinking now?

I forgot how good this stuff was. On my third after having a Hoptimum, and finally feeling good after a long night/week of work.

What can I bring to hawaii?

I have checked them out and they do have great prices, but the shipping is cheaper with Northern Brewer, something you definitely have to consider in Hawaii.

    Seeking Stone Enjoy By 7.14.13

Being originally born and raised in San Marcos, like Stone Brewery, I wish I could find any Stone anywhere in Hawaii. One of the only drawbacks of living in Paradise...

    do you brew alone?

I mostly brew alone. It's nice to have an extra hand at times like for the dough in or if you need a beer or a pee, but last time I had a friend over, I put an extra gallon of water into my MLT because we were talking too much. It's much easier to stay focused alone, but you need to be more...

What can I bring to hawaii?

I live on Oahu and the LHBS is pretty darn expensive. $1.70 per pound of 2-row, $5 for a pack of dry yeast. Northern Brewer has the best prices on everything including shipping that I have found so far. I had 25 lbs of grains that I ordered and it came in around $20 for shipping, after...

    Question about dry hopping

I'm in hawaii so it gets warm here, usually low to mid 80s. My place isn't too insulated so maybe only another degree or two change inside.

    Question about dry hopping

I am doing my first temp controlled brew, an IPA, and I was wondering if I should put my secondary back into my temp controlled chest freezer, or if I should dry hop/condition at a warmer temperature? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Ferm temp control question

How about dry hopping? Is there a need to keep it in the temp controlled freezer?

    Ferm temp control question

I'm glad you posted this, I just purchased a temp control for a chest freezer that wasn't being used on my property. It is also very warm where I live year round, and I figured I kept the primary/secondary in the freezer until ready to bottle. My chest freezer is literally about a CM too small...

    Hazelnut Brown Ale Help

Sounds like it could work. I would advise adding less hazelnut extract than required. I overdid it once and it was my only batch I have a hard time drinking. I still drink it, but anything more than two or three is too much.
