What beer do you still buy?

Fresh IPA's and APA's. When I get a taste for some lager styles I will buy Pilsner Urq. I also enjoy Great Lakes Dortmunder. I just havent really brewed anything but ales so I buy lagers. When I do buy ales I like to try ones with new hop varieties to get a idea of the taste/aroma.

    Danstar Nottingham

Notty is quick to start and finish. I would echo the temp control guidelines for notty. Don't let it get into the 70's. I just did a split batch between notty and Safale 05. Everyone who has tried a blind tasting preferred the 05 version. Hope this helps.

One follow up I have to my previous post is if your looking for speed the nottingham yeast is the way to go. 3 to 4 days and active fermentation is done. If time is critical.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I kegged 9.5 gallons today. The batch was brewed on 9/18/12. I missed my numbers a little as it was my first all AG batch. I used S-05 for 5 gallons and notty on 4.5 gallons. Non-carbed I clearly prefer the S-05. Due to global warming my tap water was hitting 78 degrees in september. Thus, I...
