    Question about bottling bucket...

    I picked up a decent length of 3/8" ID tubing from a Home Depot, and trimmed that to the sizes I need, but before then I also just used my siphoning tube.

    I do think I forgot to stir things up before doing the vorlauf. I know I forgot to stir the second runnings. That probably has something to do with my low efficiency.

    Unlike the others, I put in a vote for the auto-siphon. I've found mine indispensable. Also, get a wallpaper tray. They're great for soaking your auto-siphon or racking cane.

    I got one of these and drilled a hole with on arbored hole saw. You should make a dimple with a nail where you want the pilot bit to go so it doesn't wobble.

    From carboys I use a death-meat baster (wife's allergic to poultry) or I installed a spigot on my primary bucket.
