    Foam Issues

Found that thread you mentioned. I’ll turn it up a couple notches. I guess I shouldn’t rely on Brewfather for carbing numbers if overcarbed beer turns out to be the problem.

    Foam Issues

The line I'm using as an example here I the light one in the middle of the pictures. The darker one with the larger air gaps is on a line that I just kicked the keg of recently. This is what it looks like before pouring. And after And vid of pouring and topping off And I'm embarrassed...

    Foam Issues

I forgot to check before the first pours this week but I checked after and there are several pockets of air/foam. One of those is on a new coupler and the other is a hand-me-down from the brewery I work at. Everything seems seated well.

Yeah, it doesn’t hurt to try. Thanks

    Foam Issues

Not according to a few calculators I’ve tried but I could try a little longer. Yes Yes. At least with the kegerator. I don’t pour multiple beers from the same tap enough on the keezer to say there’s a pattern. Nope. Straight from the Sanke couplers to the tap. A couple years each in their...

    Foam Issues

If there’s been one issue in my 15ish years of brewing that’s nearly pushed me to the brink of throwing my equipment into a pond it’s carbonation. I have two kegerators at two locations. One is a standard single tower kegerator with two taps and one is a DIY keezer with a 4” collar with 4 taps...

Wanted Wanted - 3 Gallon Ball Lock Keg.

I have a couple of these 2.6G kegs and have had no problems with them: Amazon.com: YaeBrew Stainless Steel 2.6 Gallon Mini Ball Lock Keg System For Small Batch HomeBrewing Beer Brewing Strap Handle (10L): Home & Kitchen Only problem is that one of them had a wonky poppet but I had an extra to...

    No leaks but not carbing

Long story in case something may be relevant that I’m missing… I’ve been switching over to sankeys from cornies. I had the keezer setup with my last corny and a Sankey and two unused taps. Both brews were well carbed and had been good for a couple weeks. When I went to put a second Sankey...

What are you paying to refill/exchange 10# co2 tanks?

Mine are $24ish in CO with a $25 charge for recertification at General Air.

    Heating Pad and Probe Placement

I have a 5 cu ft freezer that I'm using for a fermentation chamber. It's controlled with an Inkbird with the probe in a thermowell in the fermenter and I also am using a Tilt hydrometer. I've only been doing 5 gallon batches in here so far but in preparation for 10 gallon batches with 2...

    Colorado Anvil burners $40 each

If gas wasn't so expensive, it might be worth a trip up from the Springs.

    Keggle Valve

Was digging for my refractometer and found a bazooka that I never hooked up. I just need to find the fitting to add it on to the valve assembly.

    Keggle Valve

It’s already a weldless fitting and I’m still using an immersion chiller, a hydra from Jaded. I’ll probably figure out a dip tube after I get back into the swing of things.

    Keggle Valve

I picked up this keggle a few years back and only got to use it once. And that was only for Apfelwein or cider. Any thoughts on what I should do with the outflow on this? Leave it as? Get a mesh tube thing (yes, it’s been that long since brewing that I can’t remember what they’re called)? Put a...

What came in the mail for you today?

After quite a few years of not brewing, I'm getting back into the swing of things with a simple partial-extract kit. Golden Ale from Morebeer.

Upgrade from 10 Gal to 25 Gal - Wort Chiller Question

If it's a keggle it should be 15.5 gallons. The larger size, 50' or 70', immersion chiller should be fine. I'm in the same boat. I picked up a keggle on Craigslist but I haven't dealt with the chiller yet because my burner is too small too hold it.
