    this is what i have on my cider. looks pretty similar. should i just rack from under it and bottle?

    yea i sanatized, but i drew a sample about a week before that...curosity killed the cat i guess. do you think racking from under would work? if i added camden or something could that kill iit? i dunno, i guess ill look that up. thanks

    i started this cider 3/1 and a few days ago this showed up. what is it and how can i get rid of it. i dont notice any wierd smell or anything. its 3 gal of apple juice, 1/2 gal cherry juice, 2 cans of concntrate, 1#brown sugar and nottingham yeast. thanks

    i skunked a few beers the other day for the old lady(she digs corona). it took about 5 min of direct sunlight in clear bottles.

    well untill i find a cheep fridge the lowest i can go is about a stable 60 in my basement. could a lager yeast get this done well?

    yea i have about 4 gal volume in the fermentor right now. when i put it in i dumped it through a strainer/colander type thing. i did what you said and gave it a little stir...the next day i got .016 or .017. i just checked it again and theres another .016. ill see what i get tomorrow and decide...

    yea sorry... i have a pale ale 6.6# plain light extract 1# crystal 60l 8oz victory 2oz northern brewer 1oz cascade the recipe lists sg 1.050-1.055 and fg of1.012-1.015. the gravity right now is about 1.02 i started with 5 gal in the boiler and pitched the yeast its fermented for 10...
