2 lbs of caramel malt in 5.5 gal recipe...

Has anyone added applejuice to their beer during fermentation? I've always wondered about a beer/ apfelwein hybrid. I think a nice head and some malty flavor and mouthfeel could be great with the cider, maybe this is my chance. Joes "caramel apple". I guess I have some time to think about it...

2 lbs of caramel malt in 5.5 gal recipe...

Oh geeze... I was thinking about turning this one into a strawberry wheat anyways, I wonder if that would help dry/ balance out the flavor or if it'd make it worse? I know some people backsweeten fruit beers, maybe too much cara is an alternative >_< Or maybe I can even just add a lb or two...

Need speedy and tasty recipe for May 5th

We force carbed this yesterday, only 9 days after primary started. It tastes great! I will be brewing this recipe again, but I will probably use whitelabs hefe next time. I am impressed with the quick turnaround of this dry strain but I can taste some of the tart that I've heard others complain...

    Question on flavors

Try making a few SMaSH brews, its the best way to learn what different things do to your beer.

Why is Miller 64 being pushed so hard? Anyone try this at all?

Miller light is one of the nastiest brews ever. I prefer high life with the hops extract added over miller light. Maybe they are trying to phase the 64 stuff in because it doesn't taste as bad as miller light.

Moved it to secondary today! Got a gravity reading of 1.15, it tasts awesome already! The color is also great, I am impressed with the 06 yeast at the warmer temps. Will be kegging on Sunday or Monday. We will probably force carb since it won't be ready by Saturday otherwise... unless there is...

Wow! I haven't had any yet, sounds like you guys lucked out with that one though. Could have ruined what sounds like an awesome festival! I wish I could bring home brew into Summercamp fest with me, they don't allow anyone to BYOB.

Need speedy and tasty recipe for May 5th

If we take a gravity reading on Friday or Saturday and it looks to be near the estimated FG would it be beneficial to rack it to a secondary container until Monday when we keg for the sake of sediment? Wyeast 06 is fast! Fermentation started warm at 78 degrees and dropped to 70 over two days as...

    4LB CO2 CLEARANCE! - Kegconnection.com

I upgraded my 5 lb to a 10 lb at airgas for only a dollar more than the 5 lb exchange. Airgas ftw. Ida gotten a 20 lb if I didn't have to put it in my primary fridge lol. My girlfriend wasn't as excited about my upgrade as I was.
