    Help! with Hop trimming/selecting/training

I had a similiar problem this year I cut all but one back and am training that vine. My hops are first year hops so I am more focused on getting the root system established than hop yield but from what I have been told and read I believe 1 vine is the way to go.

    Kegging Questions

I'm looking to convert a chest freezer into a keggerator and I had a few questions/concerns I was hoping I could get some advice on. 1. I was thinking of keeping the keggerator in my basement and running a line up a floor and having my taps come out of the wall. My only fear about doing this...

    Sky HighBU's

How Long for the Hefe in Primary?

I just brewed a Hefe too, I plan on letting mine go 13-14 days, for most beers I usually let them go longer but 2 weeks is plenty for a Hefe in my opinion (also running a bit low on beer so the fast turn around is nice). 10 days should be okay too

    airlock fell off..

It happens, you should be alright though, your yeast was fermenting and producing gas so the gas it was producing would have been blowing out to help prevent contamination as well. I brewed a Wee Heavy a while and checked in on it the next day only to find that the plastic fermenting bucket I...

    Keggerator idea

Hey everyone I'm new to the forums and was wondering if anyone had some experience/advice I could use. My kitchen is pretty poorly designed and there is a severe lack of counter space which me and my fiance have complained about. I think I found a way to add more counter space and being the...
