A couple of years ago Home Brew Mart (back when they were still owned by Ballast Point), brewed an "XPA" for Homebrew Con. It was pilsner malt, Vista hops, and K-97. Pretty similar to what you're describing. It was delicious and I brewed a couple of similar beers back then...

Homebrew. This was supposed to be a light lager but the pack of cellar science German I pitched was dead on arrival. I pitched some m54 instead. Which did not clear at all.

Every mediocre beer I pour out is an opportunity to drink a better one. As long as I have my brewing pipeline going, I'm happy to dump something that wasn't great or (usually) something that stuck around too long. Probably 1 in 4 kegs I will end up dumping 20% or more of it once the beer is past...

Latest WCIPA. The yeast experiments of 2024 are done and I’m back to wlp002. Still my favorite. This one is pils + a touch of Munich, copiously hopped with mosaic, eclipse, chinook, citra. I’ll be brewing it again soon when I get my MJF blend hops from yvh.

Put in the keg yesterday. Gotta love wlp002. 93% Pilsner 7% light Munich. Mosaic + Eclipse with a little citra and chinook in the dry hop at 7.5g/l

“Black IPA” cleared up nicely. I’ve been loving Eclipse hops. I hadn’t used them until this year but the piney + dank + grapefruit pith is perfect here.

Just kegged sample of hb black ipa. Based on this bit, may be one of the best beers I've brewed. Hopefully it'll look prettier after a few days.
