    it could be the extra 10 psi I do find the more sugar in the soda the more foam ie cream soda that could be part of it carbonated water doesn't foam up but thicker liquids do just for kicks I'd like to carb up a 500 ml bottle of milk to see how thickness affects the co2 release I also have...

    I'm not sure about frozen concentrate but for 1 gal I used 1 liter of apple juice and thought it would be to much but it came out just nice if I were to guess I would say put 3 cans (thawed first) in and try it and add how ever many cans to taste from there thats 3 cans with out mixing them...

    a hydrometer is a must to check fermentation the activity that you see when you shake it up is co2 coming out of the liquid it would be the same as if you filled your carboy up with pop the airlock would let out the co2 but if you shake it up it will speed up the process of expelling the c02...

    I carb mine @ 50psi in a two liter bottle and I get a geyser but if your getting good carbonation and no geyser I'd be happy to know what your doing I also put mine in the freezer to get it as cold as I can short of freezing so it absorbs co2 better
