    Im so mad at myself

I would personally leave the frozen section behind. It's probably going to contain a ton of the extra water/sanitizer you added like bovineblitz mentioned above.

So I may have overdone it.

I brewed a chocolate stout a few months ago using cocoa powder. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the low fat versions that many people on here were talking about so I just used the regular stuff from the grocery store. The beer didn't really have a krausen and looked super weird in the primary...

Got some great service from Brewmaster's Warehouse :) Highly recommended!

    Firestone Plastic Gas Tubes

Awesome - just ordered a few along with a couple other things. On a related note, I emailed KegConnection about the deformed dip tube last Friday and still haven't heard back. Don't think I'll be ordering from them again...

    Firestone Plastic Gas Tubes

Nice...hopefully they're still working on these. I just got one of these challenger VI kegs from kegconnection, and the plastic dip tube was a little deformed. Needless to say, it holds pressure, but only with copious amounts of keg lube.

    iPhone guys - Feedback please

This is now up on the ModMyI Cydia repo so you won't have to add the source to install it. The accented characters bug has also been fixed :) Thanks to everyone who tried it out before hand :)

Brew Pal software in the iTunes App Store

Yeah, I just got a nice email from him as well. Sounds like there's quite a few fixes coming in the new version :mug:

Backsweetening with Juice - pour it in or rack it?

Hey guys, I have 4 gallons of hard cider in the keg right now after being treated with sorbate and sulfites. I want to mix in 1 gallon of apple juice to give the cider a little more sweetness. I'm somewhat worried about oxidation if I were to just gently pour the juice in. Is it necessary...

    iPhone guys - Feedback please

Thanks James :) Theres an issue right now regarding accented characters (they show up strange), but that should be resolved within a couple days. I hope to put it on a larger repo like MMI or BigBoss soon.

    iPhone guys - Feedback please

Another new build up (0.4). This build fixes the issues on the last page and makes the entire app work in landscape if you like that better. You can now pinch to zoom on the actual webpage just like you would in safari. Thanks for testing!

    iPhone guys - Feedback please

I'm actually working on that. The final page scrolling is a little weird at the moment but it works if all you're after is a quick rating. Hopefully I'll have a fix for this issue shortly. Thanks for trying it out :) Edit: Just uploaded a new build to Cydia. It allows for landscape viewing on...

    iPhone guys - Feedback please

No takers? I could really use some testers. This won't mess up your phone at all, it's just an app and only makes a file in the /Applications folder. No mobile substrate extensions or anything else...

    iPhone guys - Feedback please

Uptime time! Well, as a couple people in this thread pointed out, the guys behind BA aren't the greatest people to deal with. I never did end up getting permission to release the app to the public in original form, but I made some modifications which should be perfectly legal (on my end). To...

    Adding sulfites to keg

Thanks! I'll be giving it a try as soon as I can get my hands on some sulfites.

    Adding sulfites to keg

Thanks Yooper What do you think about racking to the keg with sulfites, purging the headspace with CO2 and then waiting a couple days before backsweetening? Won't that accomplish pretty much the same thing? I'm just nervous about racking 4 gallons of juice into a 6 gallon better bottle. That's...

    Adding sulfites to keg

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to rack a cider to my keg and would like to backsweeten it as well. I want to add the campden and potassium sorbate directly to the keg instead of transferring to another vessel first. Right now, the cider is in my only 5 gallon fermenter, and I'd rather not rack...

    Opening a brew pub

I'm from Buffalo and I have to say, I think you'd really have to have something good to compete. There is already a brewpub in the city (Pearl Street) and from my experiences, it's pretty good. But if you think you can do better, then give it a shot. I'll try it out :)

    Another Perlick group buy

Am I right in seeing that there are no shanks to fit my existing tower?

Brew Pal software in the iTunes App Store

I sent the dev an email a few days back and haven't heard anything yet either... Guess I can't expect too much for such an inexpensive app :)

    Infection, now what?

I might be wrong here, but isn't the "infection" present throughout the entire beer? Even if you don't disturb the pellicle, there's probably still bacteria in the beer itself.
