    Kegging. Did I miss anything?

Check this thread out, it helped me when I first started kegging. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/keg-force-carbing-methods-illustrated-73328/ I use the "set it and forget it" method. I find I need about 2 weeks. My main concern after putting in the time to brew is having consistant beer...

absolute newbie with a few questions

http://www.rebelbrewer.com/shoppingcart/products/Basic-Brewing-Equipment-Kit.html This kit here is very similar to what I started with. Like Scott said, you will never throw any of it away, only add to it. Make sure you get a hydrometer also.

absolute newbie with a few questions

If you are planning on doing 5 gallon batches, you will need at least a 6 gallon carboy. I use 6.5 and will probably never use anything less than that. The 5 gallon carboys are used for smaller batches and secondary fermenters.

Biscuit flavors using extract w/ specialty grains

I agree with Yoop, cut down on the crystals. Personally I would cut the Crystal 80 and CaraPils and add a 1/2lb of Victory.

Biscuit flavors using extract w/ specialty grains

I have used between .5 lb and 1 lb depending on what beer.

Biscuit flavors using extract w/ specialty grains

From my understanding, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, you can steep victory and biscuit to gain the flavor and aroma. But it will not add to your OG. I have always used Victory in my extract Bitters, ESB, and Browns.
