I've found that I prefer to just set the keg directly on the beer gas instead of carbing it before hand. It takes a little longer to get carbed that way but I've had 0 issues with over carbonation since I started doing it this way.

For those of us too lazy for gelatin, time works too. A few weeks in the kegerator will clear up almost anything.

You are missing something. My basket (and infusion tube) is custom made and I do install the tube after the basket is in the kettle.
