    Margarita Gose

You're on the right track overall but there are a few important things to change. When you cool it after your mash/short boil you want to cool it to a temp within tolerance for you specific lactobacillus strain. If you use plantarum you really don't want it over 100F, I keep it around 90F...

    Margarita Gose

I think I'm gonna try a lime watermelon gose after this margarita one. I recently brewed a Blonde Ale and used the same watermelon process but also added a vodka tincture of lime zest from 4 limes. The result was incredible. Melon and lime go really well together it was super refreshing. I think...

    VERY quick turn around ideas?

I used BierMuncher's base Centennial Blonde and added the watermelon concentrate and Lime tincture at kegging. Juice half of a large watermelon or a whole small melon and collect half a gallon of watermelon juice. Freeze that half gallon in an empty water jug. After it freezes turn it upside...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

For the lime I just zested 4 limes and put them in 2oz of vodka for about a week. I added this vodka to the keg with the watermelon concentrate.

Juice half of a large watermelon or a whole small melon and collect half a gallon of watermelon juice. Freeze that half gallon in an empty water jug. After it freezes turn it upside down over a mason jar or container at room temperature and let it collect until you have 32 ounces. Repeat process...

New post a picture of your pint

Centennial Blonde Ale with Watermelon and Lime added during the brewing process. The slice is just for garnish and aroma. These go down like water during the warm season.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Hey guys. Made this beer recently but added watermelon concentrate (home made) and a lime tincture. It really makes this good beer even more crushable. Best summer beer I've ever made.

    Pernicious IPA clone help

I got information from Brewer/Owner Luke Dickinson himself a few months ago on this beer. I'd drop the crystal and use golden promise or Maris otter only for the grain bill. I'd also drop all hop additions except a bittering and whirlpool and change the hops you used a bit. The dry hop needs to...

    Margarita Gose

Here's my watermelon version last year using the same concentrate method for the melon. It adds no color at all so for the color I did a 1.5 Cup hot water /1 oz hibiscus tea steeping for two minutes then added that tea to the keg. Color came out spot on.

How much oak are you guys using? I purchased a big back of Jack Daniel Oak Barrel Chips from Lowes for $6 and was thinking about using those oak chips to make my tequila tincture. Think it would impart too much whiskey flavor?

Ss brew kettle | brewmaster edition

It really is kid of unique. Most stainless these days should not need passivated. In fact Spike's kettles tell you not to waste your acid because it's already done and unnecessary.

Wisconsin 10 gallon corny keg set up for pressurized fermentation

Just trying to help here, but your price is probably a bit too high which is why you aren't getting any bites.

At what temp is the whirlpool hop addition done at? Is it done for 10 minutes at flame out temperature with free fall?

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

What was the ratio for the centennial combo? I just brewed a blonde myself for the summer. Added home made watermelon concentrate and a lime tincture at keg time. Perfect summer crusher.

Local brewery allows employees to smoke while brewing...

This is what I've been trying to say, couldn't have said it better myself. I work in the aviation industry as an air traffic controller, probably one of the most regulated career fields in the world so I might be a little biased as a "rule follower". There's few people in my job who have the...

Local brewery allows employees to smoke while brewing...

Would it change your opinion if said cigarette fell into the mash tun and the user had Hep A? Like my previous argument, there's regulations for this stuff for a reason.
