    I have a 5 gallon cooler that i would like to put a false bottom in to use for partial mash brewing. Is there any reason why i couldnt use the same cooler as a bottling bucket?

    this thread maybe kinda old but when i screwed the fat white part into the base i held the spray nozzle to prevent it from rotating. this helped to keep the spring on the pedestal.

    i would be careful when using strong cleaners on aluminum. your gonna need to reseason afterwards. if it was my pot i would boil water mixed with white vinegar and lemon juice.

    thanks for the input. i just figured its easier to get the correct temp on my stove and boil on my burner. especially since i cant boil 5-6 gal of wort on my stove.
