    Parts for build

Hi all, referring back to these threads: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/can-i-fit-4-sixtels-in-this-freezer.685051/#post-9040567 https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/multiple-newbie-questions.673212/#post-8778070 I think I have my shopping list built, with a few questions... MFL fittings...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

Working on the shopping list and wondering about something. 4 taps, so my plan is to have a split off the CO2 tank that has 3 gauges, one for tank pressure, one to each manifold figuring 2 manifolds so I could have different pressures if I need to. Does that make sense? I assume I'd have to...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

That shank showed up on a few builds here with the 2" black iron which is why I went with it, seems like it'll work on dry fit as it doesn't extend much beyond the T part at all. I couldn't find a single one that was that short AND had a 90 and I think at that length, the 90 would have you still...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

Ok, I'd like to please revive this thread because I'm at a stage where I have the keezer build well underway and need to think about the mechanicals. For reference, I put a collar on the freezer I'm using but ONLY to add height. I won't be using the freezer's lid and am going to build my own...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

Thanks all! I'm going to try to do some digging tonite and may put up a shopping list since I don't want to order a bunch of stuff and have it be wrong. I planned on having 4 taps at 2 different pressures and am debating if I need a standard aluminum manifold or if with the duotight fittings and...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

Can I revisit this post now that I'm starting to gather parts to do the build? Is there a way to easily go from D coupler to a ball lock (or even pin lock)? I was looking at these because of the above recommendation for MFL but I don't think there's any kind of quick detach (like for my air...

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

I just checked and I have the differential set to 2 so if set temp is 37 I guess it'll run if it's over 39. it definitely seems to be a load thing since it's now at 34.5. I'm going to raise the set temp up to 40 but leave the diff at 2 since this is just for food in the short term until I build...

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

Thanks for the advice. Nope, no load currently. I don't currently have a keg available of any liquid but was getting this running for now to use an extra fridge. I'll double check the setup on the inkbird tonite and see what's what.

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

Well this is interesting.... I heard a beeping noise and wandered out to the garage where the freezer is. Looks like tho the freezer is off, the temp probe in the bottle is reading 32.8F and there's a chip of ice floating in it. I have it set to alarm at 34 on the low side and I think 42 on the...

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

Thanks for the tip! I have to get some more Damp Rid to put in the boat for winter storage so I'll either get extra or get the Eva Dry you suggested. This is great that I can run this as a fridge because I'm going to have a huge pot of chili to store overnite tomorrow plus all the corn bread...

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

Ok thanks. So I guess the little bit of frosting on the inside walls I just don't worry about. Cool. I unplugged it for about 5 minutes for giggles to test the original reason for this post and when plugged back in, it went back to the 37F set point.

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

So I got the inkbird and it came today. Put the probe in a bottle of water and set it for 37F. I have the freezer control as "low" as it'll go but I wonder if I'm misinterpreting low. I have it so that if the inkbird weren't in line, the freezer would take the temp down really far (so highest...

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

and if i can ask another rudimentary question, if you're just plugging these controllers between the freezer and the wall and setting the temp there, do you just set the temp on the freezer's own controller down as low as possible? does it even matter?

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

Thank you both. I have been looking at the ITC-308 or the A421 so I'll do some research tonite and see what's what.

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

Good to hear, thank you! I want simple plug and play without having to rewire anything on the freezer and the digital readout would be nice. Do the forum members have any recommendations? Looks like Inkbird and Johnson are the two main types, just not sure of the pro/cons of each.

Controller question - do they reset after power outage?

Hi all, I'm looking to decide what controller to buy for my keezer build. A friend mentioned NOT getting a digital one because after a power outage (tho we have a generator that comes on automatically, it does take 20 - 30 seconds to kick in), the digital ones go back to some preset temp vs the...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

Ah yes, I was reading some threads about the Eva lines today. Is 1/4" id the standard? I'll have to start making a parts list. Thought I had the taps figured out with perlicks but I've also been reading about the flow control ones. Lots to think about

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

Looks like on Friday we'll be the proud new owners of a Thompson 9cu' chest freezer from Sam's. Outside is 37.15" x 26.25" and I found one page that said inside was 34L x 22W front to back. That doesn't seem right to me but even if I take off 6" from outside which seems about right from others...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

A bunch of our friends are miller/coors light drinkers so we tend to keep that kind of thing in cans/bottles as well as a pretty eclectic collection of other bottles we keep "cellared" and stuff out in the garage fridge so the bar taps are more for a seasonal, and then a good standard plus space...

Can I fit 4 sixtels in this freezer?

We were talking about this before and I'm back and reading up a storm! LOL! Closing on the old house is next week and then we'll hopefully be able to really start planning some things out. I've been using 9-1/4" as my circle in drawings on SmartDraw and actually have 4 cardboard circles we've...
