    Stainless vs. Brass drip tray

First pop on google search is half that. It's a stainless pan with poly grid, maybe a good alternative? http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/driptray/surface/DT-5536-ND.shtml?CAWELAID=1372129655&CAGPSPN=pla&catargetid=320012430000187819&cadevice=t&gclid=CJijy4nBksMCFdgHgQodfqsAcQ

    PBW and teflon tape

Not to go down this rabbit hole again, but.... I think it's completely asinine that anyone worries about getting an infections from PRE-BOIL processes. POST-BOIL is completely different. If you're worried about the Teflon breaking down take a razor and cut away the exposed tape, it's doing...

Built a copper manifold for MT, but not happy with it

The acidic nature of the StarSan cleans the copper really well, makes it nice and shiny.

Built a copper manifold for MT, but not happy with it

Should clean up pretty easy. Part of your issue was soldering on the drywall, I'm sure the paper added some of the soot. Good off will remove anything water doesn't. Just make sure you clean the crap out of it if you have to use the goof off.

Hard piped rig owners how do you prime your pump?

Can you post a pic? I had mine under the drain valve but I kept having flow issues.

Please tell me if I messed this up

Assuming this was after the boil and you sanitized everything that the wort touched you're fine.

Hard piped rig owners how do you prime your pump?

I've run unto issues getting the saga of a brewery build working again. Now I've discovered my pump orientation is wrong and causing priming issues with my chugger pumps. I'll be ordering new stainless this week to reroute and change my orientation. What's the consensus on hard piping a pump...

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

Here's the start of my FastFerment chamber. Still have to wire all the components but the box is almost there. I'm a little worried about the cabinet tipping over if I have the slides fully extended but I'll test that when I clean them up before brew day. May need to install a kick stand...

Step control motorized ball valve possible?

I took all mine apart and rewired direct to the pcb to eliminate any splices in the runs. There is an open contractor on the pcb labeled BD3A that made me curious if there was a way to use the existing pcb to make another "stop" in the turn. There are 2 "switches" that open or close depending on...

Step control motorized ball valve possible?

Has anyone figured out a solution to flow control with a motorized ball valve? I'm not an electronics whiz by any stretch but the ideal solution would be a 4 step control. Off is open/closed, whichever works for your system. Step one is 25% open, step 2 50%, step 3 75%, step 4 100% open...

    Dry Hop & Oxygen Concern

So what is your solution to avoiding oxidation if you don't rely on science?

    Dry Hop & Oxygen Concern

You won't know if it's time to bottle unless you take a hydrometer reading. Gently shaking the bottle as govner1 stated will help move the hops. More info is needed to answer your questions though. How long was your fermentation before you dry hopped? How long was your dry hop schedule...

    Temperature fluctuation

66-69 should be fine for an ale yeast and don't stress about a 3 degree fluctuation. If that's ambient you could be in trouble. If that's your ferm vessel you're fine. How are you monitoring ferm temps? Most commercial breweries have the ability to control ferm temps very precisely. I would...

One Wire temp sensor wiring question

I will be running 6 probes off the one wire card on my brewtroller in a daisy chain. Google seems to be all over the place for resistor placement. Does each DS18B20 get a resistor on the power line? Or is it one resistor at the one wire card power. I've also seen the resistor wired across...

    I don't trust my memory, 120v element or 240v

Even better, tested out at 22 Ohm so that makes it 2500 watt at 240 volt :ban: Thanks Brumateur, you saved me some bucks!!

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

Isn't that akin to what golfers say, a tree is 90% air? If it's 90% air why do I hit that $&@!? If you go this route put a stop on your bit at 1/8" and use a small screwdriver to dig out the insulation in your path through and you'll be fine. Worst case is you discover you indeed are too...
