Count me in, have been happy with previous inkbird products! I would like to see how this compares against the heating mat that the carboy sits on top of!

    Removable "floating" collar on keezer?

I really need to put up a thread on how I did mine, but it is not unique as I had seen it on here when I decided to do mine. So I did the collar approach, but the original hinges from the freezer went on the bottom of the collar. I just used standard door hinges to connect the freezer lid to...

    Nukatap Faucets

I initially had around 9' of eva tubing in my kegerator, I am probably closer to 4.5' or 5' now. Sure I did not pour too much foam with the longer line, but it also took way longer to pour a glass too! I am happy with the speed of the pour now, and the foam level is good once the tap is cooled...

New house - clearance from my wife for brew room - vent or steam condenser

I do not do either as I am always in the garage. However should I have the option to do basement, I would go with the hood due to the amount of waste water with the steam condenser. I really like the idea of the steam condenser, but not the amount of waste water, that I believe is not usable...

    Black Friday 2020 deals

I believe in the last couple of years Williams did have a sale on the Kegland \ Komos kegerators during black friday \ christmas time frame. I almost got one but built my own cause I wanted 4 taps and at that time they only did 3 taps. I would totally get one of the newer ones that does 4 taps...

    Line free kegs?

You want the kegland ball lock flow control! They were made for this exact scenario. EDIT: Craiginthecorn beat me to it. https://www.williamsbrewing.com/Home-Brewing-Equipment/Kegging-Equipment/Ball-Lock-Keg-Connectors/-KegLand-Stainless-Flow-Control-Ball-Lock-Threaded

Steelhead 2.0 brewing pump with mounting bracket, 24V DC for $44.93

I have been using mine for over 2 years now, and lately all 10 gallon batches. I recirculate my mash for 60 minutes, and whirlpool during cooling, then finally empty the boil kettle.

    Stainlessbrewing Herms Coil

No comment in regards to the herms coil, however I do have a comment on the cam lock fittings. All of my cam lock fittings are from either brewhardware or bargainfittings, and I have had 0 issues from either of those companies. The fittings I have are most likely mating up against the other...

    Automation Software ?

I know you are looking for open source, but you might want to check out Brucontrol. It is not as expensive as commercial software as it started out for the homebrew community. EDIT: Lots of posts in this forum for the software as well, Brundog started it and is a member here.

How many of you use a yeast starter?

Like many others, I always do a yeast starter and overbuild using online calculators to determine the amount of the starter. I keep some of it in a mason jar to keep for future brews, which is again started in a yeast starter and overbuilt again. I probably have 8 Bootleg Biology strains going...

    Clearance sale at Williams Brewing

I noticed that they have new 2.5 gallon kegs without rubber top for sale, close to same price as finding used 3 gallon kegs, for those interested in that size. Might have to go on my wish list for me!

Steelhead 2.0 brewing pump with mounting bracket, 24V DC for $44.93

I already have the TOPSFLO TD4 pump that is the exact same as this one. I am now getting this one as well as a Christmas gift idea(for me of course). The TOPSFLO version that I have has been a reliable small and quiet pump. If you are using BruControl or some other software automation that can...

Need help, buying a kegerator and kegs. What to buy and why

If I were to not have already built my kegerator, I would have gotten the Komos V2 with 4 taps, without a question! I had already built my kegerator when that was finally released to the US. I was aware of it when I was building mine, but there was an unknown release date to the US. I use the...

    Proportional and 3-way valves

I have some of the US Solid from Amazon with a description of Motorized Ball Valve- 1/2" Stainless Steel Electrical Ball Valve with Full Port, 9-24V AC/DC and 3 Wire Setup by U.S. Solid I would provide a link, however the one's I purchased now link to 1/4" ball valve and not 1/2". I tried to...

Is it possible to use priming sugar in a keg?

Sorry, yes this is correct and I forgot to mention that. The one caveat though is that unless you have your priming sugar to carb level down perfect, you might still end up draining that CO2 bulb some if you are below the carb level you are set for on the CO2 bulb as it will then draw from it...

Is it possible to use priming sugar in a keg?

You leave it on and it will automatically stop providing CO2 once that pressure has been stabilized, which means it is now carbed at the level you want it at. Then as you serve it will add more CO2 to reach stabailzation again. It will not continue to just dump CO2 in, only until stabalized...
