    PSI Question

My understanding is that the beer temp is what matters and not the tank temp of the CO2. My tank is external and I always set PSI to what is appropriate for the style of beer and I have not had any issues.

    Alternatives to BruControl for Arduino?

I have no suggestions on options, but I look at the $100 a little differently. To me the $100 is more about support. BrunDog has been very active in the forums here, and on the brucontrol site. He has also been very responsive to e-mail as well. When you go with free, well good luck with...

    Duotight gas leak indicator?

Yes, the draw is the individual in-line regulators. The funny part is the gauges are so small you cannot read them, so you have to use blowtie or something else with a larger gauge to reliably set your pressure. I do still use the regulator and check valves, but everything else is barb to...

    Adventures in Homebrewing (aka Homebrewing.org)

Check out Cap n Cork as they let you do grain by the pound and by the ounce . I have no idea if the shipping cost is good or bad as i pick up locally. https://capncorkbrewing.com/

Cap N Cork is also a brew pub as well!!! They also have an online page that is pretty accurate for inventory. They allow pickup and they ship as well. I always use the pickup option as they are close to me. I thought Kuhnhenn had closed down the home brew shop, but I could be wrong.

    Duotight gas leak indicator?

Check for micro cracks on the duotight fittings themselves. I had nothing but issues with the fittings on the gas side, to the point where I went back to standard swivel fittings on gas. I have no issues on liquid side, but I found several fittings had micro cracks, even the elbow on the flow...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Thanks for the response, I already have the heating elements for both RIMS and what will soon be in the HLT and they are the same element with each being 1400W at 120V. I can already set manually (or scripted for that matter) the % power it uses for RIMS, just dont remember what the field is...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

I remember at one time someone was asking about the capability to run two electric elements at the same time and have them "combined" per se in Brucontrol so that the total power of both running at the same time would never go over a certain level. So say I have 2 120V elements and I do not...

    Damn!! Added hops to Gose

If you can get your hands on some Jolly Pumpkin bottles, I have heard that their yeast strain is very hop tolerant. However if it is, might take you more sour than intended for a Gose. Just going to have to do a couple of yeast build up starters before you can pitch though.

    Duotight ball disconnects - experiences?

They definitely look much shorter than a standard ball lock! I would go with liquid, but I myself would not do gas with the bad luck I have had with duotight fittings.

    Evabarrier right angle

I have had too many issues with those fittings cracking, with much less of a radius than posted above. With that said, I have a 90 elbow right before the shanks and have not had issues. I think my overall line length is between 4 - 5 feet if I remember correctly. I only use the fittings on...

    Keezer Lesson Learned...

I used 2X10s for my collar, but I double hinged it so I can lift the lid and collar up when putting in new kegs or cleaning the bottom! Just use the freezer hinges for the bottom on the collar, then I used regular door hinges to attach from the collar to the lid.
