    Nice!

    Starter was way too strong

If it was alive going into the wort, then it will get going. No harm in pitching another packet of the same yeast, if you'd like, but probably not necessary.

Beer has gone cloudy in keg over time

Just kind of repeating what others have said, could definitely be yeast and trub your tube is picking up - especially if you ferment and serve in the same keg - there would be a lot of that stuff in the keg, so any little movement would kick up a bunch of it, I imagine. Could definitely be...

    Technical/Science Oriented Podcasts?

Hey @BrewnWKopperKat thanks for that! I was unfamiliar with this one and it looks really interesting from their website. I'm going to add it to my Stitcher app and listen to a few. Thanks!

    Dialing in temp control

I wouldn't worry about a 1 degree variance. For example, I would suspect that if you took the temperature in difference portions of your fermenting wort, not just the place where the thermowell reaches, you would get some variance. I also suspect that if you used a thermowell on your first set...

    Technical/Science Oriented Podcasts?

John Palmer and Jamil Z sometimes get into brew science with specific episodes of Brew Strong - look for episodes having to do with water chemistry, for example.

    Blichmann Engineering

That's cool, @Tobor_8thMan Its been a few years since I've bought a Blichmann piece of equipment (my last purchase was a beer gun, I think), but I thought at that point at least you couldn't buy directly from them, but it could be my memory is wrong. In any case, thanks for sharing a good...

    I need your help

FYI, this survey is only for those living in the UK, it appears. Also, @saeedalmulla , there are a few questions that don't make sense to this brewer/drinker-of-beer, if you want to 'talk' about it, start a conversation with me using the envelope icon in the upper right hand corner.

    No yeast activity

There could be a lot of variables, its not that unusual for there to be a lag, although its not great. White Labs yeast is fine, great, so unless you have reason to believe that it was dead (pitched into really hot yeast, really old, frozen or boiled), it will get going eventually. On the...

Just joined today + Kveik brew

Welcome! I've brewed once with Kveik, made a NEIPA with New Zealand-y hops, the only NEIPA I've ever made and turned out pretty well. What is the final/bottom photo? A counterweight to pull up a grain bag?

Pilsen Malt - Malteries Franco-Belges or Best Malz

Any thoughts on whether I should get a bag of Pilsen Malt from Malteries Franco-Belges or Best Malz? I'll be using it for some German lagers, International lagers, and probably a Belgian or two.

    Easy Jiggler LOL

You can't make up the name, or the description that "To use, simply insert the tip of the jiggler into your fermenter and give it a few long, steady strokes." LOL Easy Jiggler - Stainless Auto Siphon Racking Cane | MoreBeer Anyway, has anyone used these? I have a stainless autosiphon, and...

    Organic Beer anyone?

@Yooper and @Julieharpo Organic malt is not too hard to find - Briess, for example, makes a range of organic malts. Briess Organic Malts Hops are a different issue. I seldom use organic hops these days, because they are more difficult to find and get a hold of. There was a supplier in...
