My current Foundry recircs beer through bottom kettle outlet spigot, thru a pump, then up tubing to small metal arm that goes thru tube. Would the whirlpool arm replace that circuit or be a separate one in addition?

Does a whirlpool arm replace a top recirculation arm thur lid or compliemnt it? I have an Anvil foundry that recrics the beer thru the top lid. Would this whirlpool arm repalce top recirc? Thx!

Got it. Will set to +1/-1 differential. I took the digital thermometer out of the SS Brewtech 5 gallon fermenter and put the Inkbird thermometer in the thermawell. Its cooling now to 40 degrees for a cold break. Also swithced the heat source from the small c ermic heater to a fermawrap...

Pretty sure the differential is set correctly, will double check. Just got my fermentaor wrap. Will try it with a fermenter I have ready to cold crash. Although I its ability to hold cold crash temps might not be as hard as 68 egrees. Will report back.

My initial test was with a dangling probe, no fermenter in the freezer. Im going to cold crash one here soon and will try again with probe in themrawell of the fermenter. Are my inital settings reasonable? Target temp = 67 degrees (assumption its actually 68 in fermenter) Cooling differential...

Hello! Took a sample from an ESB I was brewing while transferring to fermenter and before adding any yeast. Check gravity and left it on counter. HAd no foam, just lovely liquid. Next morning I get up and it looks like it was fermenting, without any yeast added. That looks like krausen :cool:

Finally got around to looking at tis. Wanted verify Im connecting the correct two wires ;^) Red and black below. Fridge is cooling but the inside (using digital thermometer) just never matches the OEM digital display on exterior.

Kind of new to plate chillers. In all the videos I watch its pretty much the beer goes from kettle right into fermenter. No second passes, or return to bucket to go thru chiller again. Does that mean the hot wort leaving kettle is perfectly cooled when it hits fermenter? Or is it juts close...

I have a Taprite I got from MoreBeer. I also just got a used Kegeratorthat came with this Draught Tech regulator, which feel much more substantial. Are there some brand that are top of the line? Came with Kegerator (Draught tech) From MoreBeer
