I have no idea. The instructions that came with my hydrometer said to divide the result of OG -FG by 0.776
which comes out close, but I was advised the other formula works out better.
Oh they grow up so fast. The puny looking centennial rhizome shot right up and is outgrowing the hardy looking crystal. The crystal however has more shoots and looks stout. I hope to root some cuttings pretty soon.
I concur with Bracconiere that you are in negative territory when it sinks into the black part of the scale. Without using an online tool you can subtract the fg (0.997) from the og (1.070) and multiply the result by 131.25.
1.070-0.997= 0.073×131.25=9.58125%
Don't quote me on it tho because I...
Yeah. If I get up to do 2 things, I forget at least one of them. I hadn't thought of this commercial in years, but I sang it to my wife the other day verbatim. Enjoy:
I would like to share half a beer with John Kerry so I could tell him to stop spreading tons of jet fuel waste all over the planet. He might wear the other half home.
No offense, but I'm starting to think you may be as crazy as I am. I get these random connections to old songs and commercials all the time. IRL I have outbursts similar to your video posts. I'd seek help, but I'm having too much fun
This is my first year growing hops so I don't have an answer, but I plan on cutting mine when I have to. Hopefully someone will jump in here and give some feedback. Seems like they would get bushier or send up more shoots if held back.
I dislike the smell of plastic with a passion. I store everything in glass pyrex or mason jars. I use an instapot canner sometimes to sterilize jars of wort. Set it and forget it.
