Im using a 5 gallon cooler and have been adding the water last, just in hopes that the temp doesn't drop any extra while in the cooler with the lid off. adding the grains It sounds like its just a convenience and doesn't really matter though.
My Tower already has 8 holes for mounting (not sure why), but it will make it easier for my. I will just unbolt, drill and install the new faucet 90 degrees to the right, and lower, and then just rebolt the tower using the "2nd" set of 4 holes.
or can i do a single infusion at about 153? Im using a 5 gallon cooler for MLT and was not planning on decoction. Should i use an american wheat malt instead?

I got mine at best buy about 3 weeks ago. Print out the costco price from the website (if its still 169.99) and Best Buy will match the price. They did for me.
Thanks for the advice, i have a step drill bit and i think im going to give it a try.
Yuri, that looks pretty good. Whats the diameter of your tower? How tight are the connections in there? did you go with two elbow shanks?
I just racked my PA into a 5 gallon corny after 3 weeks in a primary (i dont have a secondary carboy). I put it into the kegerator to condition, but should i have left it at room temperature instead of 40 degrees to condition? Im not carbing it yet.
Anyone try to do this?
I have a single 2 1/2 inch tower right now, and i think im going to try and drill another 1 inch hole to add a second faucet. I may have to make it lower than the first, but i think it will work.
What are most people setting their CO2 PSI on Sanyo conversion to for serving pressure?
I got a 5 gallon commercial keg from a local brewery, and set my CO2 to 12 and it came out way to fast. Im using 6 ft of 3/16 beer line going to the tower on top, and didnt expect it to come out that...
I brewed this the other weekend and had problems with syphoning from my keggle to the primary. I had to get my wifes help, and to make a long story short, after wort was sprayed into her face from the autosyphon, i was unable to get the lats bit out of the keggle.
I started with 7.1 Gallons...
The CO2 regulator i got from ebay doesnt have a 5/16 ID connector. It looks like this piece will be harder to replace than to just get a hose with a smaller ID. (it looks like 3/16). Does this matter at all, or is there another option? I eventually will need to split this out put to 2...
I am setting up my kegging system for the first time. The gas line is new, so is the CO2 tank and the ball lock connector. Do I need to somehow clean/sterilize any of these parts or is it ok to connect the hoses to the regulator and connect to my corny? I guess same question for the beer line...
I bought 4 of the Corny kegs from norther brewer. They are ball-lock. What socket to i need to remove the gas/beer posts for cleaning?
A couple of the posts look different from the others, sort of a star at the bottom.
