So I got everything I needed today to make the 10G Home Depot Mash Tun. I want to be able to have a thermometer in it so I can read the temp without taking the lid off. I want to just use the thermometer I already own and be able to take it out to use it for other stuff. The digital thermometer...

So i was awakened last night by what I thought was police sirens in the distance. Turns out it was just gas escaping from my airlock. I pitched 3068 into my Hefeweizen before I went to bed and then this morning it had a good 5 in krausen and the airlock is going nuts. haha...

    Thank You 3711!

So my Belgian Dub was stuck at 1.030. I had used 3522 Belgian Ardennes, and It went from 1.078 to 1.030 after 2 weeks or so, but then the temps in my basement dropped for a couple days when it got to be like -20 f here. Must have killed my yeast because it was stuck there for the next 2 weeks...

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

yes, that would work. What I have been doing for BIAB that has been working out pretty good is; I have a 8Gal kettle/mash tun. I start with 5 G of water and say 14 pounds of grain (that's about the max with my kettle and 5 g of water). After the mash I lose at least 1.5 G to the grain. So I do a...
