    Brutus tubing question

Hmmmm, this exactly what I did and I ended up with a stand I didn't trust and a pile of tools I'll never use again. In the end I still ended up having a stand professionally built for $550. Not everyone can be a DIYer. Just my .02 cents. Sent from my iPhone using HB Talk

    Stir bar size?

This is my reasoning for going with a slightly lager bar. The 1" bar works awesome in my 1L flask. In the 2L flask I can see settling around the outside bottom with the 1" bar, unless I crank it up to a sucking vortex. Maybe I will try a 1 3/8" bar and see what happens. Sent from my iPhone...

    Fermentation Johnsons A419 Heating Question

Nah, you're gonna need a heat source to plug into the output cord on the temp controller. A light bulb, heating pad, Brew Belt, ect. Sent from my iPhone using HB Talk

    Stir bar size?

I use a stir plate and a 2L flask to make starters. I feel like the 1" stir bar I have is just to small to keep a 1+ liter starter in motion. Am I just being paranoid or can I use a 2" stir bar with no problems? Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using HB Talk

First all grain is a disaster!

RDWHAHB I did the same thing today on my first AG. I had a neighbor stop by and pull a pint from the keezer with me and I over sparged by a gallon, lol. I just boiled the 7.25 gallons down to my target pre-boil of 6.25g, took an SG sample, then started my hop schedule. When all was said and...

Bad customer service = Loss of business - Plain and simple Supply and demand play little role in the attitude of the employee. There are so many ways the employee could have salvaged this customer relationship. 1. Sold him what he needed. or 2. Offered a viable sub for last 2oz...

    BCS460 and Brutus

How does the BCS-460 energize the gas/water valve solenoids? Is the 5vdc output enough to energize the solenoid? If not, what do you need in addition to the BCS-460 to make this happen? Sorry for the newbie electrical questions;) I currently control my stand through LOVE controllers and...

    Painting my Keggles?

The consensus I am getting says to stay away from the paint. I think you all may be right, I will do the Scotch Brite for now and maybe polish them in the future. Thanks all :mug:
