Blow over is my caribou slobber still okay?

It should be fine. If you decide to put an airlock back on, just remember to sanitize it. After five days most of the fermentation should be done anyway, so I wouldn't worry about the lack of activity. You probably don't need a blow off tube at this point.

What did you drink when the Ball Dropped 2018 12:01am

    Same as last year...my snores

What do you do with your used/spent yeast?

I have a septic system....so the yeasties go down the drain. Rumor is they help, and if they don't....oh well.

When to Dry Hop a NE Hazy IPA? Filter or not?

I never use a bag or any container to hold my hops. It's a personnel dissension, but it's what i do. If you want hazy...then don't use a bag and don't worry about how fast you chill. That's my humble advice...

    Spent Grains

2nd this. Even large leaf bags do the trick.

    Budweiser Repeal Reserve Amber Lager

I'll give it a try when I see it at the store. I've said it before....I'm a beer geek, not a beer snob.

    Sierra Nevada

Stopped by for a tour several years ago. Yes, it's very large for what most of us consider "craft". But, compared to Budweiser, the brewery is pretty small and it's one facility, where Bud has dozens of uber sized plants around the country and I assume the world.

    Stainless Steel Mash Tun Questions

I use a stainless keg. Made a RIMS system from this site. No insulation needed.

What size plumbing for 22 gallon setup?

My brewpot is around 22 gallons too. I set my system up for 1/2". It seemed the logical choice since the pumps I use are the same size.

    Tasted first bottled brew!

Congrats!! Yeah, you want to make sure your wort/top off water, is mixed well before pulling a sample for testing. The 1.002 seems pretty low too....did you correct for the temp? No matter really. You made Beer!!! You definitely will notice a big difference from day 9 and day 21.

    Dough in temp....

I've always used this, even when I use a cooler. The calculator works the best for every one I've tried. (Even better than Beersmith)... http://www.brewheads.com/batch.php

    What are you drinking now?

Wigle Rye Whiskey. I highly recommend. Been to the distillery in Pittsburgh. Good people, good whiskey.

    all amarillo ipa

Every year I make an all Amarillo IPA for my July 4th party. Always a hit. It's essentially a SMASH. A crowd pleaser even among the BMC crowd. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=548762

    Fermentis S-04 Wierd Mineral Taste

May be true....but I used to love WLP 002. Now I get the twang from it as well. Probably in my head....but it's there none the less
