Last of the 1981 Courage Imperial

Great read. Just snatched up two bottles of this, 2012 edition. Am putting it away. Maybe for my sons high school graduation. He's 7. The place had 6 left, along with some chimay, and other good stuff.

Indiana Heading to Indianapolis.....What brewpub to hit?

I'll be in downtown Indianapolis in mid March. Any suggestions for good food and better beer? The wife loves flights and a good hefe. I like anything but a freakin souped up IPA, which is what everyone wants to serve these days. A delicious stout for dessert is always nice. Thanks in advance.

    Brewers Best lemon shandy results?

Yep in the pouch. Boil a gallon or two of water with corn sugar. Add contents of the pouch and stir. Add water to make 5 gallons. Pitch the yeast and wait. Wouldn't call it brewing, but if the wife likes it, I'll be able to hit my LHBS more often. Giddy up!

    Wort Chiller Design Question

Good to know on the aerating temps. Gonna store that in the old memory bank. the above link from Brundog and his chiller has me intrigued. Since my original idea seems not to be the most efficient, i'm also kicking around the idea of a recirculating whirlpool used with an IC. But using...

    Wort Chiller Design Question

Islandlizard, by slowing the flow with the ball valve, would efficiency be increased by having to cool half the wort lets say? or at a 50% rate in other words? ideally increase efficiency enough to run through the chiller once. running it twice wouldn't be the end of the world, as i would...

    Wort Chiller Design Question

Thanks for the quick reply. thought about CF's, but kinda shy'd away from it, due to the wife. She tends to freak when her kitchen isn't just so. I'm working on the brew room, but not there yet.

    Wort Chiller Design Question

Hello all, rookie here. Been reading a lot and you've all helped me tremendously. With that said, I have a design question that I haven't found covered. I'm a DIY guy and can typically come up with a simple/cheap way to make things work. So here goes: Chilling the wort is the part of the...
