What would you pay for a SS Auto Siphon?

I am just tossing this out there, as I have come up with a prototype and if it works well, the cost should not be that high if mass produced. Given that plastic versions are $10 for 5/16" and $15 for 1/2" what would you pay for the stainless version? $30, $40, $50? It would be made with high...

Blingman beer gun + counter pressure stopper?

I use a beergun to bottle a few to bring with me I also use it to fill growlers. What kind of foam are you getting? There will always be some foaming, I have bottled a Belgian around 3.5, with no troubles. It works best when the bottles are cold and the beer is cold. The colder the better as...

    BM23C - 2.5" tower to 3" to add faucets?

You can have the top capped with a larger cylinder. Or you could have the tower go to the left or the right.

    Surprised by efficiency

I crush my own grain, and have crushed numerous batches. The only thing I changed was I sparged for a longer amount of time. I didn't think that would change anything. Any ideas or was it just a fluke?

    Surprised by efficiency

I made this recipe last saturday, and I was very surprised at my 62% efficiency. http://hopville.com/recipe/1654143 I reached my boil volume and then I stopped sparging and the runnings were 1.020. I was wondering if there are any tricks to pull more from my fly sparge without increasing...

Was there any new brews done on this system? Have you improved your efficiency at all?

    Largest Electric Setup

I hope you have a good electrician to wire that all up. Also you have to keep in mind that the vessels lose heat as well. I have a 3000 watt induction burner and it struggles to keep 10 gallons boiling. 9000w at 210volts is 42amps normal in home service is 150amps here in the US, so that...

    Seattle must try Beers

What are some must try beers in Seattle, I am going to Redmond for training in September, looking for beers under 6% ABV.

    Home depot primary possibility?

My question is, what will you be saving in the long run? Fermentation buckets are ~$15 at LHBS. Home depot bucket and bag seems more work than it is worth. Good luck though.

First time kegging - any last minute tips?

Whatever you want to do, man. If it is your first time, I like going more simple. You have a better chance of overcarbonating if you put the pressure high and shake it up.

First time kegging - any last minute tips?

Sounds good to me, but it reads like you need to drink the whole keg right away. :-)

Does no one mash wort for starters? advice please

I've mashed for a starter when I do not have DME, it wasn't bad, just BIAB style with a 15 min boil afterwards.

First time kegging - any last minute tips?

I just open the top of the keg, siphon it in, making sure not to splash it around. Then when full I will purge with C02, pressurize and let it sit for a week or so to get carbonation.

    Temperatures

You will want to cool it down, but you shouldn't notice a huge difference as the yeast are not that active. The more active they are the more phenols you would get.

    Temperatures

Is there a lot of bubbling going on? If so, you might get a weird taste, but by no means ruined. If you don't like it, just give it to your friends. If its past major fermentation you probably wont affect too much.

    Temperatures

Move it to a cooler area, fermenting that high will make a very alcohol and phenol taste.
