Im a huge fan of the olympics, though i dont really care about the sports during non-olympic years. I love watching bobsledding, curling, downhill skiing and pretty much anything else thats on. Its just fun to watch a lot of sports you rarely get to see. Also it kills some time in between...

Ive had the Westmalle dubble, and i must say that it is a magnificent brew. I pick one up every now and then. I may be biased towards it since it was my first trappist, but either way i will continue to enjoy it for years to come

I ship to basic training (Navy) on March 28th, then off to Ft. Meade for tech school afterwards. Then who knows. Is it necessary to store crushed grain in the freezer in between uses? Or will a cool dry place work also?

So im standing in my kitchen trying to figure out how to crush my grains and i thought maybe use my coffee bean grinder. Anyone else use this? if not that what else should i use? Rolling Pin?

I was at my local homebrew shop putting together a recipe which called for a certain amount of liquid extract. The guy who was helping me said that since it was an odd amount that i would be better off with one can of liquid, and then a bag of dried. I didn't really think about this till now...
