    SS Brewmaster Bucket

I have the 7 gallon SS Brewtech Chronical Fermenter and have a friend who has the SS Brewbucket. I borrowed his bucket as my Chronical was in use. I must say I was impressed indeed. Sure you cannot see the active fermentation; but the ease of cleanup and the simplicity of transfer to keg was...

    Bru'n water help

I have found it easier to not use that but to rather use the Water Adjustment Profile Calculator tab instead. You can add amounts of chemicals there and then click back to your Water Summary Tab and it will update what you have entered there. I don't have the sheet in front of me but I hope...

    keezer & Co2 bottle

You are going to get multiple responses to this and they are both going to be different - unfortunately. I have done this both ways and currently have it outside the freezer/fridge. From personal experience, I am a proponent of keeping it out of the cold and letting it site at room temp...

Brewing In Garage During Winter in Cold Climate

An excuse to buy new equipment.....hmmm. SWMBO might have an issue with it. But I don't think she would want me to freeze to death either lol. That said, I get concerned with ventilation. So, having to open the doors a crack for cross ventilation...i lose heat; at least last winter I did...

Brewing In Garage During Winter in Cold Climate

Living in WI and brewing in my garage; I know how the OP must feel. I would love someone's input on how to best keep the garage warm for winter brewing. Last winter kicked my butt and I didn't brew much. I even went out and bought a Mr. Buddy heater; but it runs on propane which burns up...

Quick Water Question for tomorrow's brewday

I am trying to use the Bru n Water sheet for calculations. I have done this before and understand it pretty much. However, I have been doing BIAB batches for the last several. The one tomorrow is going to be too big for me to do that; so I need to go back to my 10 gallon igloo and pot combo...

    Recommendations on beer/gas lines

This is a good option. And with an unlimited budget yes, you certainly could do a lot of "damage" to a sweet setup for sure. However, I would go with this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E6BD0G0/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 instead as it is 1/4 insted of 3/16 inch. Also, when it...

    Secondary Temp.

Update: I left it at 59-60 degrees F for 1 week. I kegged it on Monday night. The sample was amazing. Not carb'd up yet, I can post a photo if anyone is curious once it's ready. Thanks for the reply.

    Glycol draft tower

I am currently researching the black iron pipe, build yourself method myself. I am looking for 4 taps though, not 6-8. But I would love to know your parts sources and price list if you don't mind sharing. Oh yeah, pics too :) - Yes please :mug:

    Secondary Temp.

I racked a finished beer onto some fruit last night. I know I want to keep it there for about a week. Question is, what temp should I use? I have the ability to control the temp...just not sure what is the best for this phase. Currently have it set for 60F. :mug:

    AIPA Fermentation Question

Do you suggest a temp rise (diacytl rest) with an AIPA? Or is 66 just fine until it's done?

    AIPA Fermentation Question

Has been 6 days so far. Clearly not done, I have heard though that dry hopping near end (about now) is good. It still is fermenting clearly though as it is still throwing a good burp every few seconds. I have 2 oz. Mosaic to throw in if need be. Hence my post :)

    AIPA Fermentation Question

Getting to the point here. I have never dry hopped a beer. I was/am planning on dry hopping my latest creation, an AIPA with all Mosaic hops. I was hoping for the stone fruit and bit of piney that this hop can produce. Instead, I have a straight up punch in the face of Grapefruit in both...

    Auto Siphon

Spring clamp on the end of your hose....If you can't find a spring clamp that fits (don't know your size tubing) you can always use an Oeitker clamp (1 or 2 ear will work). Of course, this is more of a permanent solution unless you figure out how it can be "removed" and "reused". Good luck and...
