Hes an enjoyable person to watch. Regular joe, makin beer. I am sure if grains and hops, yeast, didnt cost so much he wouldnt really make kits. Its the cheapest fastest way. I think he knows what makes the best flavored.beer. Its just how much time you have to put in it.
It just seems like a bunch of buddies havin a webpage. I would honestly think youll get bettter and more knowledgeable advice here. But those are some down to earth nice guys.
I think its just palate fatigue. Ive only drank two beers in the last 4 weeks. I might drink one this weekend. But probably not. Im just on a bit of a hiatus myself
If it was me I would flat out ask them. Like you said if you can have a gas grill then yoy shoulfd be able to have a burner. obviously brewing is important to yoy so make sure you cover all your bases now to avoid future misunderstandings.
The pumpkin isnt a predominant flavor, but it does add alot to mouthfeel I think. Christmas ales have some other spices orange peel and tend to be a little darker
If u really wanted to add raspberry puree you definitely can in primary. I have done this before. Just wait until the krausen drops. Youll come out with alot less than 5 gallons if you.add berries.
I see no reason to not brew a nice amber ale. Maybe a fat tire clone. Or an american wheat. Make them something they like, but something you made specifically for them will make it seem special. Congrats on the impending nuptuals.
I like your thoughts there ferg. holiday porter. Although I was thonking of doing a porter series a fruit porter, a pumpkin spice porter, holiday porter, vanilla bean porter, and coffee porter. Maybe make a big batch and split it five ways
Here here. Was gonna buy some edmund fitzgerald today... But it wasnt cold. Porter is probably my favorite style. I think its super versatile and enjoyable anytime of the year
If I could get it by the sixer in fw I would def. Hook you up. But I only see it on tap. Have you tried it? ill hook you up with some mad anthony ipa though
