    Pinkus Munster ALT

Its mostly color i guess. It is the only one i have had as well and my was a golden color where a northern or Dusseldorf should be atleast 13 SRM. I dont know flavor differences because it is the only one i have had as well. I quite enjoyed it and would put it on the top of my list as one i...

    Pinkus Munster ALT

Alright I bought this beer because I wanted an Altbier. What was delivered was different than I expected. It is all organic and imported from Munster Germany, but was not a Northern German or Dusseldorf altbier. I was extremely happy with this pale earthy easily drinkable beer probably one of my...

    Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel

I had this beer last night and it had a bit of a metallic aftertaste. I was surprised because I did not expect it. Overall it was a good beer but not my favorite. Actually now that i think of it the amount of carb may have agitated my canker sore(bit my lip) which would have caused that iron taste.

Thoughts on a 3 Gallon Batch System

I am starting with 2.5 to 3 gallon biab batches because of limitations and it is nice less cost on the ingredients side which is important to me plus i get to brew more often which will help hone skills needed for when i can move on to a larger scale.

I didn't take pictures because I was too focused here was the recipe I used. 4# 2-row pale 1# Vienna 0.25# Carmel 10L...

I have a really good home brew shop in my town who mills grain for free and keeps really good prices. I also only did a half of a batch which makes life easier and allows for stove top

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Thanks for the guide. I used this method for my first brew and hit 77% efficiency. I did not do a large batch and I had a hard time keeping my mash temp. All in all I think it was a good first brew day. I did ed wort's haus pale ale. And it is bubbling away right now.
