Can you utilize two out of phase 120v 20a GFCI outlets to power a 240v element?

Thanks for the heads up. Very interesting.... So this brew boss controller plugs into 2 different 120v outlets... So if I understand correctly this works because it is controlling each 120v circuit separately. Not trying to create a 240v output. I wish they offered that controller separately...

Can you utilize two out of phase 120v 20a GFCI outlets to power a 240v element?

That looks like quite the set up. Thanks for the info! I'm still not sure I'll wind up building a controller. Just not familiar enough with the essential electronics. But I am looking at the Brau Supply 120v controller. Any suggestions or recommendations regarding the specific elements to use...

Can you utilize two out of phase 120v 20a GFCI outlets to power a 240v element?

Does that mean I could have it drive 2 separate 120v elements powered by 2 separate outlets? Sorry, I might need more elaboration than others in this corner of the forum. Again, greatly appreciated!

Can you utilize two out of phase 120v 20a GFCI outlets to power a 240v element?

Thanks for the reply! Good to know. If I wind up doing with 2 120v elements, I'd probably only control 1 with a PID anyway, and use that element when stabilizing or stepping mash temps. The second element would be used as on/ off only when boiling or heating strike water. Any other system...

Can you utilize two out of phase 120v 20a GFCI outlets to power a 240v element?

Hey all, First: I have no electrical background. Most of what little I know I have picked up while digging through the forum here. Please excuse any beginner mistakes or misconceptions. To keep things as short as possible: I live in an apartment with no easy access to 240v power. I do...

Technological Support and After-sales Service for Inkbird WIFI Thermostat

I am having the same exact problem. Router and iPhone 6 within inches of controller. 2.4Gz network, everything else off the network. Several attempts. I love you other controllers and would love for this device to work. I hope you can send us all replacements that work as promised.

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

Great, I was looking for a stainless TC part solution, but it looks like there may be a bag solution which will allow me to use a more standard TC fitting and a custom bag. As to not hijack, wilserbrewer, can you PM me details on what you would suggest for a 10g Spike kettle with a TC port...

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

I would like to keep using the bag I have now. I generally squeeze every last bit or wort out of it. I use the same bag on my stove with step mashing without issue so I hope to keep doing so with the ULWD elements. So I plan on having a TC up meet the top of the kettle and would be...

Do you need a 1 off Stainless part built for your system? Let's discuss it.

I'm looking at designing a new recirculating eBIAB kettle from spike with 1.5"TC ports including one up near the top of the kettle for whirlpool that I would love to find a great way to use for mash recirculation as well. Best I can come up with is a full threaded TC to NPT combined with a loc...

    Conical Fermenter

I will agree though, the racking arm is not an ideal sampling port. Depending on the beer, fermentation stage, amount of trub left in suspension, some samples do come with a bunch of particulate. But for taking a gravity sample, after a moment or 2 to settle it does work. I'd personally...

    Conical Fermenter

I use the racking arm on my SS Brewtech with every batch. I also use it as the sampling port during fermentation as my Chronical doesn't have a sampling port. Definitely seems to help get clear beer into the keg/ bottling bucket. On the SS Brewtech though, I REALLY wish the tube was longer. I...
