Consumed a 2009 Allagash Gargamel recently (first Allagash 375ml release). What was once a juicy raspberry treat had changed drastically. Color was now brown from the vibrant red when fresh. Caramel, vanilla, seedy nose, oxidized. Hint of raspberry still in the taste. She's seen better days...

Strange that you couldn't find Black Albert or Fantome in Belgium. They are everywhere over there. I don't think there was a store I visited that didn't have both.

First post in here. Recent haul brought back from a Europe/Belgium trip. Had a Cuvee Rene Special Blend (loved it) and a Mure Tilquin that have already been consumed. Couple other 10-11 Tilquins and a Cuvee Rene Kriek not pictured.

Agreed. Got to have a few drafts of Pissenlit and Saison at Fantome a week and half back. That batch of Pissenlit really stood out. Saison was quite good as well (no smoke, rubber, etc) but maybe needed a little time. Drinking a bottle of Ete as I type, and it has not carbed up at all...
