Same wort, different yeast, one blow off container

I often brew 10 gallons of wort and ferment in two carboys with both blowoff tubes going into the same growler filled with starsan. On my most recent brew I decided to experiment by fermenting each 5 gallons the APA wort with different yeast strains (S-05 and WLP 002). How big is the...

Here's a cheap but attractive way to mount drip tray to keezer.

I think I have found the perfect solution to the slipping conundrum. I have the same drip tray referenced in the original post. I first used epoxy to attach L Brackets to the keezer. After these brackets fell off or slipped, I order the really expensive magnets from Amazon. The magnets...

    Brewery names--what's your story?

Yep, not that they like to do surgeries over - "re"-surgens.

    Brewery names--what's your story?

Nope, Resurgens. It is latin meaning "rising again". Obviously it is the root of the word resurgence. http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/1/8/8/1/9/ar126970236391881.png

    Brewery names--what's your story?

I am excited to introduce my brewery name ----- Resurgens Brewing. I live in Atlanta and the city's motto is Resurgens, meaning to rise again. This dates back to the city's rebirth and rebuilding after General Sherman burned Atlanta in late 1864 on his march to the sea. Now that I have a name...

Extremely Different Fermentation Activity with a 10 Gal Batch Split b/t 2 Carboys

I brewed 10 gallons of APA (1.056 OG) on Friday 3/29 (9 days ago). I split a 2 liter starter of WLP 001 between the two 5 gallon carboys. I have noticed an extreme difference in the fermentation behavior of the two batches. One carboy seemed to ferment similar to other batches I have...

Haier 3 Tap Perlick Kegerator Atlanta

Not going to be interested in selling the faucets alone and that would take away from the value of selling a complete kegerator.

Haier 3 Tap Perlick Kegerator Atlanta

No one? Seems like a fair price right? It is just a narrow market that I would be trying to sell this into?

Haier 3 Tap Perlick Kegerator Atlanta

I am building a keezer so my 3 tap Haier must go. I have it posted on Craigslist at the following link. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/app/3427107398.html

    Freezer Keezer Selection Time

What size collar would be need to accommodate the kegs on the hump?

    Freezer Keezer Selection Time

I am ready to move up from my 3 tap haier kegerator to a full on keezer. I have decided that 5 taps is the sweet spot I am looking to serve. I plan to do 5 full size ball locks on the floor of the keezer and put the Co2 on the hump. Is there a go to freezer model to suit my needs? I see a...

    Planning my Wet Hop IPA

Brewed it up last night. All wet hops as descibed above, plus a flame out addtion of 2.5 oz Simcoe. Everything went well except for the recirc of the BK. Those wet hops quickly clogged my outlet valve. I ended up using a racking cane to rack from the top of kettle into my carboy. I am...

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

Yeah that is the gist of what I got after reading the thread. Now for a question on aging, I really would like to have this guy drinkable by mid November. Reading the comments it sounds like the coffee needs sometime to mellow out. What do you think of skipping the second coffee addtion?

Clone Beer Founder's Breakfast Stout Clone

Brewed it this weekend. Super aggressive fermenation with surprisingly little krausen.
