This is where I'm lost. Let's say I have 4 gal of wort in MLT recirculating via heating coil in HLT maintaining at 151F. After 60 mins, while pumping those 4 gal of wort out of MLT to BK, I need to pump in 3 gal of hot water (170F) to MLT for fly sparge. Where do I heat those 3 gal of water? Do...

The way I see it, both recirculate wort during mash using heating element to maintain a constant temperature. Why would there be a limitation in brutus 20 due to sugar saturation but none in rims?

Do you have any stuck mash after placing the seal? I'm using a 5 gallon Rubbermaid cooler with 9" false bottom, and I had stuck mash. The culprit is the bottom of the cooler is not flat but dome, so it pushes against the drain hole of the false bottom.

There is no way for 3325W to boil 12 gallons of wort in 30 mins! Not even with 2x 2000W of elements.

Plug that in 120V outlets won't get full power.

The diameter of the pot is bigger than the electric burner, and the burner is not sitting flush with the the stove top. Everything is fine when the heat is off, the pot is very stable. When the heat is on, yes, the pot vibrates/dances/wobbles vigorously.

I believe that it has to do with the thin sheet of stainless steel which is used to make the pot. As soon as I turn on the electric stove, the pot vibrates vigorously.

Thanks for your replies. I don't think Bayou Stainless pot fits my brewing environment. I'll return it, and buy another pot with tri-ply bottom.

Does the "dance" stop after you stir the wort till the whole pot gets to even temperature?

I wipe the bottom dry, and try again. It still vibrates vigorously. I am disappointed because I wouldn't want to hold the pot the whole time during full boil. Has anyone converted Bayou pot with water heater element? Does it vibrate while using water heater element?

I'm new to homebrew. I buy a Bayou Stainless 24 quart pot, and try to boil 3 gallons of water on my electric kitchen stove. The pot vibrates vigorously!! I wonder if it happens to anyone of you. I have other stainless pots (16 & 20 quarts) which have tri-plys bottom, and they never vibrate.
