    My first biab

Works for me. It went prett good. Pre boil wort was almost two gallons. Ended with about 3/4 gallon. Had to top off but that's ok. I'll use a little more sparge water next time.

    I'm a dummy

Yea I figured. Thanks guys. May be investing in one piece airlock next trip to lhbs. Probably have a couple beers tonight I'd imagine.

    I'm a dummy

Dont think it hurt anything but I left the damn thingy out of the airlock that makes it bubble. I stared at it for 5 minutes wondering why no bubbles and BAM. Been that way for a week. I really try not to mess with em at all for 5-6 days. Well see how it turns out.

Moving up to all grain I small batches. Few ideas for biab hybrid

Sweet. I'm going to see how much space my grains take up in my 3 gallon cooler tonight. May do a 3 gal batch next weekend.

Moving up to all grain I small batches. Few ideas for biab hybrid

Yea that's true. 2 gallons would be easy. I have the 2 gal fermenter already. Ill do that next time. Mainly I'm a beer nerd and want to say I have a mash tun but don't want to pay for converted coolers yet. I have a little 3 gallon I don't use but I played with it last night. It is too small...

Moving up to all grain I small batches. Few ideas for biab hybrid

This batch is double milled it will be full on biab. This is an extra hoppy IPA. My lhbs instructions are 50 min mash to 60 min boil. Starting with 3/4 gallon and doing a was/spare into the bk to bring it to 1.5 gallon

    I love hops!

That goes without saying. I picked up my grains and hops for this weekend and I'm having a hard time not opening the package to smell them. It's official I guess. I'm a hophead.

Moving up to all grain I small batches. Few ideas for biab hybrid

I have an IPA 1 gallon recipie ready to go. I'm going biab in my 5 gal pot with. As most of us here I'm tinkerer and builder. I have a keggle to use as an HLT. I have a 3 gallon cooler. Bubba keg it's called. I want to mash in it for 1 gallon brews. Going to use mesh bag instead of false...

    I love hops!

Up until pretty recently I was a stout and nut brown drinker. Now all I find myself buying is an IPA of some sort. I've got caribou slobber in the fermenter but I think I'll try an IPA next. Enjoy your torpedo. I've got a six pack chillin for the weekend.

    I love hops!

I've been drinking Sierra Nevadas torpedo lately and discovering that I must be a hop head. Damn it's good.
