I liked it. Good mix of actual beer making and latent talk for non brewers. Was cool to see them set up a brew station in a train but I think they boiled with the pot covered and there's no way all those people at the end got a sample of the 10 gallons they made on the train.

Ok I'm a little late to the hop revolution but I'm completely hooked on over hopped IIPA's. Here's my question. I love SN's torpedo and hoptimum. I like DFH 60 and absolutely hate 90 minute. What is it I don't like about it and some other IIPA. It's hard to describe what I don't like. Maybe...

Did my first all grain today with keggles and a 70qt cooler/tun and a cpvc manifold that I built all with instruction from this site. I totally missed my gravity but now that I have boil off and grain absorption rates to go by I'll be much closer next time. Thanks fuys

I just did the exact same thing. My first all grain. I mashed with WAY to much water and hit a 1.040 Pre boil. 1.079 target I wasnt able to sparge much my burner is inadequate as well After an hour only 1.050. Target was 1.059. I don't think I'll hit my fg of 1.008 I barely lost a gallon...

2-1/2 hours into my first 3 vessel AG batch and I'm loving it. And hour to go to get into the fermenter and I'll have some BEER! Woo hoo. This is fun.

Brewing 5 gallons of a French saison with wyeast 3711 pilsner 2row and acidulated. First AG so well see how it turns out in a couple months.

Any one used their kit. I'm headed towards my first 3 vessel all grain and thought a kit with good instructions would be the best thing to do.

It was probably cracked. Ive yet to have a bomb but I hear it's loud and glass goes every where. I just cracked open an IPA that I over carbed. I'm lucky they didn't go off. I'm going to straight to kegging next batch.

Thanks. No I I'll put it up on a box of some sort since I have the room so that it can gravity to the fermenter. When I get a pump I'll cut the top rack off and go two tier with the HLT and Bk on the bottom And mash tun on the top to keep it from the heat. Then hard line everything.

I thought I would do it right before my first batch so I could use what's left to mash with. Gonna be a heluva waste of propane though. I like the 15 minute idea.

Almost ready to brew. The bottom will be expanded metal. Not wood. I'll add down braces and fences around the HLT and MT. The burner needs to come up about three inches.

its a stand! Ill finish it up at the house, do a brew or two then have it powder coated. Im going to try to build specific storage for the burner, chiller and BK on the bottom. I have way more room then I expected.
